The Sicily region
Sicily is the biggest island in the Mediterranean Sea, where many populations followed each other, like the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, who all left traces of their civilization. Goethe himself affirmed that “to have seen Italy without seeing Sicily is not having seen Italy at all. Sicily is the key to everything”.
Nov- Dec are the rainiest days in Italy, but Sicily is at its best in spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November). Just a little sprinkling on few days. The scenery is beautiful, the temperatures are pleasant and there are relatively few crowds. Sciacca, is situated on the "African coast" of the island, between the ruins of the acropolis of Selinunte and the The valley of the temples of Agrigento.
Sciacca area
Sciacca is a beautiful and elegant city, famous for its thermal treatments that were appreciated even by the Romans. Here you will have the chance to admire many palaces and churches that date back to the Renaissance and Baroque period, as well as numerous Arab-Norman finds. The seaside resorts are visited by many tourists, who love the fine sandy beaches and the blue sea. Moreover, many are the cultural events organised by the town.
Sciacca is a fishing town situated on the famous archaeological road between Selinunte and Agrigento in Sicily, is one of the oldest towns in the island.Thermal spa, fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, biking, trekking. Boat trips can be taken from the harbour.
The real heart of the town centre is steeped in history and ancient architecture of Moorish, and baroque style, ancient alleyways and courtyards. A labyrinth of houses and streets, some of which can be narrow enough to fit only a single person at a time. Throughout alleys and little squares of the port area and the town centre there are many restaurants, which all serve delicious (sea-)food. Our town offers you a classic blend of natural, cultural and historical attractions.

Further details indoors: The furnishing, conceived by Mrs Accursia, Sina for the friends, is unique indeed: what he was able to do has entirely been realized in masonry and in wood; A choice that makes indeed this characteristic place.
Further details outdoors: The patio, always ventilated, gives the possibility to eat in the open both in the daytime and in the evening and view every angle of the garden, realized and taken care of with passion by Carmelo. It hides something to discover: ancient amphoras, Greek masks, flowers from the vivacious colours and palms from the so great stem not to be succeeded in embracing her. The garden is crossed with paths paved by pebbles and they will conduct you to the reserved parking lot (covered) and to a pleasant angle devoted to whoever wants to catch the sun on comfortable bunks.
It is only fifteen steps to reach the clear waters of the Mediterranean. A beach of sand and stones with low water that becomes deep in a sweet and gradual way, a true "heaven" for great and children. There is also a beach.

Guestbook for Villino du paradisu on the sea
We have been guests of this marvellous family in the month of July. Had to remain two weeks but, for a stroke of luck, have succeeded in prolonging our permanence and have remained 21 days! Antonello and I, that my name is Laura, have a numerous family (three children of 12, 9 and 2 years) and we usually have also a splendid grandmother to the succession. the Villino du Paradisu splendid days of sea can be gone by without the harassing thought to prepare purses, towels and the whole rest!! The sea is at home!! In more its position is strategic indeed: next to Sciacca, to one hour from Agrigento and from Marsala, few more than 40 minutes from the splendid Selinunte and to ten minutes from Sciacca and Ribera. And if looking the photos you will make you account than the house and the garden are pleasant and spacious. In short indeed a heaven. If you want you can contact us below. we are of Ancona: I am journalist, my husband is medical. And are happy to inaugurate this space devoted to the comments of the guests of the family Of Di Stefano!!
