House | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
After being in private hands for the past 34 years, we've recently bought this beautiful house for our family and hopefully yours too. We hope you find it as wonderful as us and appreciate the superb location, beautiful furniture and attention to details- this is a very unique property. Located 2 miles from the center of Schull and just 3 miles from Ballydehob with Cork airport an hour's drive away, this cottage is ideally located.
The property is a traditional country cottage which has had a number of beautiful extensions added to it over the years combining the old with the new yet retaining the character of the old and enjoying the comforts of the new.
The entrance is built with traditional local stone leading in to a beautifully stocked pond with waterfall and a lovely south facing slate finished patio. The garden has a lovely flow to it with different natural levels laid out in a combination of lawn, a huge variety of shrubs, plants hedging nature trees and an additional south west facing patio area on the eastern side, perfect for relaxed summer evening BBQ and open-air dining. The stone cottage consists of a large south facing conservatory, beautiful living room, fully fitted kitchen, dining room with access to west facing patio area, utility room / pantry, bathroom and a large ground floor master bedroom with stunning views and custom fireplaces. The 1st floor has 2 further bedrooms and a brand new bathroom.

About this location
The Province of Munster region
Set in the centre of an area of outstanding natural beauty, Schull is one
of the loveliest villages in West Cork, Ireland. The prevailing
southwesterly winds come over more than two thousand miles of open
sea and the air is marvelously clear and clean. The safe and welcoming
harbour, the many islands off-shore and the Atlantic Ocean beyond
provide an excellent base for water sports. There is also tennis, pony
trekking, a planetarium, fine restaurants, a
boatyard, a weekly country market and a peninsula rich in
archaeology and wildlife. It is wonderful country for walking and
cycling and an excellent area for holidays, in winter and summer.
