The County Cork region

County Cork is full of contrast; it is home to Ireland’s second largest city and dozens of vibrant, atmospheric towns and villages. Yet it’s full of truly breathtaking natural beauty. Schull area

Located in the south west of County Cork, the pretty village of Schull is set between Ballydehob and Goleen. Offering a number of little shops, welcoming Irish pubs and fine restaurants this pretty settlement also boasts a harbour that is home to a number of boat operators. These companies provide fishing trips, wildlife excursions and sightseeing voyages, as well as a sailing club and ferries to nearby islands.

There are also numerous fine beaches throughout the region such as Barleycove and Mizen Head – offering a visitor’s centre and cliff-top walks. Other activities on offer nearby include golf, pony trekking and tennis, as well as excellent walking and cycling routes.
