Our fully renovated apartment near the Hochtannberg Pass comprises 80m² with a spacious living-dining area leading to a large south-facing balcony with table and chairs. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee-machine, toaster and full cooker. The living room sofa converts easily to a very large and comfortable sofa bed. There is a flat screen TV, DVD / Video, radio and free internet connection. A large master bedroom leads to the second south-facing balcony. the large family bathroom has a bath, separate shower, WC and 2 hand basins with vanity units and heated towel rail. The second bedroom has twin beds and a charming view to the west. The buidling has its own reception area as well as heated pool, hobbyroom, sauna and ski-room with heated boot racks. There is also a sun terrace and large free car park.

The heated pool in our lower ground floor has large panoramic windows giving a splendid vista of the surrounding alps. It is open from June to the end of September and from December to the end of April.
During the winter season bread and rolls maybe ordered at reception daily and delivered to your door.
Our 2nd floor apartment is the largest in the building. There is a lift in the building and a childrens' playarea.

Smoking is not permitted in the apartment but is tolerated on the balconies.
An English speaking concierge is on hand to answer any questions.
Conditions
End cleaning is charged at €60 payable to concierge in cash at the end of stay.
Local Kurtaxe is also due daily at €2.00/day adult and €0.50/day child.

The Austrian Alps and in particular Vorarlberg are renowned as a secret ski paradise with some of the highest recorded alpine snowfalls. It offers quiet pistes with excellent access and lift systems as well as being a great base for walking and exploring in summer with kms of well signed walking paths for all abilities. Nearby excursions include Lech, Liechtenstein, Innsbruck, Bregenz for opera on the lake, Neuschwanstein, Linderhof and Hohenschwangau castles in Bavaria and the Bregenzerwald cheese route.
The Schroecken / Nesslegg area
The quiet hamlet of Nesslegg nestlesin the Hochtannberg region of Bregenzerwald / Vorarlberg some 500m above the village of Schroecken. In the immediate vicinity are 2 restaurants with several more in Schroecken and nearby Warth. A bus stop at 50m offers free transport to the Salober ski-circus 2 kms away or down to the village of Schhroecken. There is a climbing wall at the Hotel Widderstein next door and several local adventure parks, alpine schools and canyoning activities available for the active holidaymaker. The Flying Fox Safari Park is very popular with children. The nearest supermarket is 5 kms away in Schroecken.

We had an early summer week in this apartment, which is lovely. Warm, with amazing views. The sofa bed is a big comfy one and as only the 15yrs old was sleeping on it we didn't have to keep putting it up and down, great shower also. We also loved the outside BBQ area and the indoor swimming pool. (do let them know in advance if you are arriving at the very beginning of the summer season and want to use the pool as it takes a day and half to warm up if it's been unheated) We were lucky to have fantastic weather. Travelling with kids aged 11,13, and 15yrs we found lots to do. The card which gives you free access to the outdoor swimming pools and chair lifts is great and we used it a lot. The fying fox safari starts from the grounds of the apartment and our kids also loved gorge walking - which was again almost on site. The locals were friendly and eating out was very reasonable expecially if you use the 'early set menu' or 'set lunch menus'. Great walks straight from the apartment, or you drive/bus a short distance and take the chairlifts up and then walk. This was a great family summer holiday, highly recommend you try it! |
