Newly built and finished in 2008 the apartment is situated in a great summer and winter location in this popular ski resort. With 3 large bedrooms (en-suite to main) the property offers modern light and comfortable accommodation just metres from the town centre and Planai ski lift station.
Schladming is popular both as a sumer and winter destination in this 4 mountain ski area (200km of connected piste) which will host the world cup ski championships in 2013. In summer the town has street cafes a large outdoor pool, weekly markets and many visitor events.

The Styria/Steiermark region
Steiermark is located in the southeast of Austria. In area, it is the second largest of the nine Austrian states. It borders Slovenia as well as the other Austrian states of Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Salzburg, Burgenland, and Carinthia. The capital city is Graz and the area is rich in local history. Italy, Slovenia and Hungary are easily accessible by car (3 hours) In winter the area is a popular ski area forming part of the largest ski alliance in Europe (Ski Amade with 860 km of slopes on 1 pass). The Dachstein Glacier is the furthest Easterly Glacier in Europe at just 2700 metres (open summer and winter) is just 15km away. Salzburg is the nearest city (90km) with Graz 2 hours away.
Schladming / Central Schladming area
Schladming is a bustling market town with pavement cafes and lots of restaurants of all kinds. At the base of the Planai the connected 4 mountain ski area is easily accessible from the apartment and town. Being part of the Ski Amade alliance the area boasts 860 km of piste on 1 lift pass and nearly 46 mountain restaurants in the Schladming area alone. In summer the area is buzzing with walkers, cyclists, climbers. Lake swimming and horse riding are nearby and for the more adventurous canyoning, rafting and paragliding are popular sports. Just 15 km away the Dachstein Glacier (2700) metres) offers year round snow. The popular Ennsweg runs along the river close to the apartment and offers cool and easy cycling along the valley floor following the river Enns.
How to get there
Schladming is approximately 90km (50 minutes drive) from Salzburg airport which is served by several budget airlines (Ryan Air, Thompson, Flybe, British Airways). Schladming is easily accessible by train from Salzburg which also has all the usual car hire companies. Several bus companies run a budget service to Schladming one for as little as 42 euros return from Salzburg www.reisen-habersatter.at - you can pre-book this for a guaranteed place. If you intend driving it takes approximately 10 hours from Calais to Schladming. Munich airport (235km 2.5 hours) Graz airport (2 hours).

Further details indoors: The apartment is on the second floor which is served by a lift, and comprises of; spacious entrance hall, large lounge with patio doors to balcony, kitchen with dining area for 6, large en-suite master bedroom with bath. Good sized second bedroom with double bed, large 3rd bedroom with bunk beds and door to side balcony. Large balcony with good valley and pist views -table with 6 chairs.
The apartment has been recently finished and is furnished to an exceptionally high standard with wooden floors throughout the accommodation, has recently been decorated and is considered to be like new!
Further details outdoors: A modern purpose built apartment block set in its own grounds/ gardens, there is ample space for children to make snowmen, there are also fields, a park and a playground situated close to the property.
The flat is served by a lift, in the basement there is also a private ski/ bike storage area.

A 20% non-refundable deposit is payable on booking with the non-refundable balance being due 4 weeks before your arrival date please. If booking within 4 weeks of arrival the full price is due on booking. We recommend you to have travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may prevent you from traveling.
