While the main agricultural activity focussed on grapes for wine and vinegar production , in the 18th century cultivation of apricots and pears, contributed to an additional income. The property belonging to the estate extends from the house to the Danube: The home garden is a true "fruit paradise": Besides apricot, cherry, plum and apple trees also nuts, almonds, chestnuts and quince are grown. On warm walls thrive wine, kiwi and fig. In the stone terraces various types of berries are cultivated . However, the garden is dominated primarily by the pears plantation which includes 6 different types, among others Clapp's Liebling, Williams Christ and Gute Louise. The train garden is mainly for cultivation of the protected Wachau apricots. The label "Original Wachau apricot" guarantees the unique aroma and flavor quality. Some trees date back to the line from one ancestor who introduced the first plants in the 18th century from Hungary . In 2012, 50 young apricot trees were planted who are expected to bear first fruit after about 3 years. In the Danube garden, right next to the banks of the river, Riesling, Steinfeder and Federspiel are grown on ca 10 hectares.
