Yorkshire Coast
The Yorkshire coastline encompasses some of the UK’s most rugged and charming countryside, from tiny fishing villages clinging to rocky cliffs to glorious stretches of white sand and family-friendly seaside resorts, with everything from windswept abbeys to the county’s best fish and chips. Nothing if not diverse, expect Blue Flag beaches, chilly feet if you brave the sea and a chance to lose yourself in this naturally beautiful destination.
North York Moors National Park
The North York Moors National Park is one of the most stunning landscapes in the country, it will simply make you stand and stare. It really is a very special place. The great variety of landscapes in the North York Moors is what truly makes it unique and gives it a character which so many people can enjoy. This is a land where dreams are made. Here you can experience the vast open space of moorland, listen to the call of the upland birds, walk for miles and miles or sit and watch the world go by.
You can wander through woods, saunter through picturesque villages of honey sandstone, throw pebbles in a stream or build sandcastles on the beach. All around are the signs of past generations, historic abbeys, embattled castles, churches, crosses, ancient routes. The local culture and traditions here are strong. You can listen, you can watch and you are welcome to join in.

Scarborough Castle - a ten minute walk from the apartment.
With its 2,500 year history, stunning location and panoramic views over the dramatic Yorkshire coastline, Scarborough Castle fully deserves its place as one of the finest tourist attractions in the North. It started life as an Iron Age Fort, was occupied by the Romans, became a Viking settlement and reached its heyday under Henry II.
This royal stronghold, built by successive medieval kings over two centuries has seen more than its fair share of conflict and sieges. Learn how it was fought over in the English Civil War and came under bombardment during the First World War. And to complete your family day out in North Yorkshire, enjoy a hearty tea in the Master Gunner’s House.

The flat was clean, comfortable and had all the mod cons. It was a great location near South Bay and the town centre. Also a great location to explore north east Yorkshire from. |

A well recommended stay. The owner responds fast and is very helpful. The flat itself was cosy and welcoming. The location is great - very close to the beach, beach activities and the local high street. A walk along the Scarborough promenade is well recommended. |
