Beautiful, quiet and homely cottage in a great location for seeing the sights including Whitby, Pickering and Scarborough. Great value for money- an entire cottage to ourselves for the price of a single hotel room. Great master bedroom with soft comfortable bedding. Well equipped kitchen. The only thing i would say is, as expected in November it was extremely cold, and the cottage was freezing upon arrival. It would have been much appreciated if the heating had been turned on a couple of hours before we arrived! Very easy to book the property, although we struggled a little in the dark on Friday evening to find the property- perhaps a sign from the main road would be helpful. Overall an enjoyable stay, and would definetely recommend to others! Thankyou Amanda. Response: I understand your concerns about the cottage being cold on arrival. Unfortunately we live 80 miles away so it wasn't possible to turn on the heating before your arrival. We do leave the cottage aired from late November onwards (stops the risk of frozen pipes) but as your booking was only made a couple of weeks before we didn't get the chance. I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday and hope you will come again. |

Lovely cottage, well appointed - in good location. Quiet but with easy access to loads of different places. We visited Whitby by steam train, Castle Howard, Yorkshire Lavender and Helmsley to name but a few! Would recommend the cottage to anyone. Response: Thank you very much for our first review it gives us a sense of pride when we recieve comments like this. |
