The house is located approximately 8km from Competa, Sayalonga and Torrox . The whole area is a haven for the off road enthusiast or simply those wanting to discover Real Spain. The house is reached from Competa by a tarmac road with just 1km of track or can be accessed from the coast up a good track of 4 Miles/6 Km. The track is suitable for all cars with a good part of it concreted.
The house is ideal for those guests who want to be far from the madding crowds but not isolated. A real chance to get away from the usual tourist spots and go and discover the beauty of the National Park.

"avoid at all costs"

Firstly I would like to point out that after leading this couple up the house in my saloon car, I spent over half an hour showing them around the house. I left them happy and content asking them to contact me if they needed anything or had any problems.
I did, however, notice that the gentleman, who had been driving, was obviously suffering from a debilitating illness and I was therefore, surprised at their choice of location.
Secondly, I was not contacted by phone or email about any of these issues during or even after their stay and had thought that with the fantastic weather that week, that they must have enjoyed their holiday.
So you can imagine my horror and pure bewilderment when I read this malicious review full of untruthful allegations. I cannot believe that they did not have the courtesy to contact me personally and can only assume that they did not read my advert carefully, if at all, as to where the house was located and that if was spread over three floors!
As it happens if they had bothered to contact me I could have easily relocated them to our other property near the coast , which would have been much more suitable for them considering this persons condition.

This was just what we were looking for. A superb mountain location but close enough to the sea, a well equipped finca, fantastic swimming pool and fabulous hosts. The journey up to the accommodation is an adventure. Upon arriving the views are incredible. The finca is a wonderful place to stay and rest, however the pool is so tempting as is the choice of charcoal or gas BBQ. We were able to pick limes, fresh figs and were even given red and green grapes by the Spanish locals who were harvesting just below the finca. In August the weather is hot but we became accustomed to it very quickly and the finca remained comfortable with the fans provided and of course the pool to assist.
We did venture down the track and think that the caves are well worth a visit in Nerja, as well as the donkey sanctuary. As far as food shopping goes, we found that the Mercadona in El Morche the best and most Spanish - fabulous Langoustines and selection of Spanish wines. WE enjoyed the marina at Calista too. The hosts Lena and Rich are such fun and very helpful. This is a place that as a family of two children and two adults we shall return to for more!
