We live nearby and assist 24 hours. You will get a mobile phone so you can call restaurants, taxis or ask for help in any situation. Savusavu downtown is only 3 km away. Of your own choice you can walk, go by bus, call a taxi or we will provide transport. A car is not mandatory necessary but if you want to explore the island we can organize a cheap 4WD rental car for you
We are located only 3 km from center Savusavu Town at Lescevia Road near the world-famous Cousteau Resort. Our luxury Villa Maracuja is nestled into a beautiful landscaped 2 acres property with a lot of flowers, fruit-trees and different palms. The property is at the end of a private road with a maximum of tranquility and privacy. We are the clothest vacation rental to Savusavu downtown. No trespassing and traffic.
From the terrace you have a stunning view over the Savusavu Bay. In the Savusavu Bay you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming without fear and danger. The water is the whole year about 26 C and the underwater world with beautiful fishes and corals is awesome. Villa Maracuja is fully equipped and for your entertainment you have satellite TV, DVD-Player, Radio and broadband internet. To cool down you can swim or plash in our large freshwater swimming-pool. From the terrace you can watch the sunsets, the yachts, ferry-boots and sometimes the cruise liners from overseas coming into Savusavu harbor.
Our luxury and spacious Villa Maracuja has 2 master sleeping rooms with king-sized beds and a smaller bedroom, a wide living room with open-plan dining and kitchen, It's only a short walk to the beach or to Cousteau Resort -- great for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, boating and fishing. We will pick you up at Savusavu airport and for a good welcome you will have fruits and drinks in your fridge for a good start of your holidays. Maid service is available and not extra to pay.

Welcome to the northern Fijian island of Vanua Levu. Vanua Levu is the second biggest island of Fiji. Here you find unspoiled flora and fauna and the second largest bay in the South Pacific -- Savusavu Bay. Savusavu Bay has pristine coral reefs and some of the best diving & fishing in Fiji. This bay and the harbor of Savusavu is world-famous among sailors for his safety in the South Pacifik Ocean.
Savusavu is also known as the "Hidden Paradise". Access to Savusavu is via flying from Nadi or Suva. There are 2 airlines which have 5-6 services per day. Please enquire about flight details, costs etc as these change due to demand and time of year.
There is also a regular overnight ferry service from Suva and Lautoka to Savusavu which runs 3 times per week
The Savusavu / Korovesi area
Savusavu is a town with about 5000 habitants. Savusavu has all infrastructure with airport, hospital, Police Station, Post Office and all necessary shops for your daily demand. A number of charter businesses operate in and around Savusavu. They offer diving, sailing and fishing charters. There are also local tour companies which offer village visits, waterfall hikes etc. Cars, bikes and motor scooters are available for hire. Savusavu is a haven for yachts so why not enjoy the calm waters of Savusavu Bay. There are a number of excellent restaurant options available from tasty curries to fine dining. Some of the nobel resorts also offer dining.
Savusavu has Supermarkets, bakeries, liquor stores and wine shops and a local produce and seafood market is available in Savusavu township. Handicraft shops offer locally made souvenirs.
There is a good private doctor and a government hospital is also available.
If you want some other activities you can simply jump in the pool, relax in the sun or swim and snorkel in the Savusavu Bay........

One month in paradise ! Because of the Fijian welcome, the kindness and availability of our hosts, the beautiful scenery. Also the calm of a beautiful villa nestled atop a hill overlooking the beautiful bay of Savusavu full of delicious fish.The villa is fully furnished and a few kilometers from the city where you will find everything you need and a market with daily fresh fish and local vegetables. Beach and boat fishing are just down the hill. For a few FJD you can visit the interior of the island with a taxi driver very attentive to your needs and who knows perfectly the area or ask your hosts. So do not miss this opportunity to spend a great holiday ! |

Me and my husband came to Fiji for our honeymoon and decided to stay in Savusavu on the island of Vanua Levu. Here we booked Sunshine Villa Maracuja and this was a very good decision. The owners Tatjana and Mario picked us up at the airport. When we arrived at the villa we got a welcome drink called Bu the healthy juice of a young fresh opened coconut. The house was nice decorated with wonderful local flowers and everything was clean and tide. The big pool in front of the house was crystal clear and brought ad once our energy back after the long flight from Europe. The property is like a botanical garden with all kinds of fruits, flowers and palms and the view on the sea is absolute breathtaking. In the evening we watched the beautiful sunsets and we went in the middle of the night in the warm pool and watched the sky like in a planetarium
.no words can describe this. The property is perfect for relaxation - absolute secure and calm - only the birds will wake you up in the morning. The owners live nearby and have been very helpful. They speak German, Russian and a lot of other European languages and we had no language barrier. They went with us swimming and snorkeling at split rock and in the natural heritage near Cousteau Resort. We saw giant clams, millions of different colored beautiful fishes and all kind of corals. The underwater world is just stunning. My husband went once fishing with Mario and some local people and they caught a lot of first grade fish which went the same evening on the big barbeque in front of the house and we had a wonderful dinner together with the owners. The villa is very close to town. Taxis are plenty here and very cheap. Sometimes we walked or drove with the owners or neighbors. Mario organized very cheap for 3 days a 4 wheel drive rental car for us so we could go for sightseeing. He also helped to get the tickets from Germany to Fiji more than 30% cheaper!! We will try to come quickly back and bring some friends with us. Villa Maracuja is simply the best !!!!! |
