The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Deux Sevres region
The second sunniest region in France thanks to its own microclimate. When you see the rolling fields of wheat you will see why it is called the breadbasket of France. Enjoy the abundance of sunflowers and corn. Famous for its goats cheese, melons, oysters and local Pineau, you will find this area a gourmets delight. This is a relatively undiscovered region of France and the welcome you will receive is warm and genuine. La Rochelle is one of the most famous ports in France and is certainly worth a visit for its aquarium, shopping and museums. Futuroscope is day to remember for all the family. Visit Cognac and avail of its many tours and attractions. Flat country side make this an ideal cycling holiday for all the family.
Sauze Vaussais / Villaret area
Visit the local Silver Mines, Romanesque Churches, Valley of Monkeys. The house is situated between two Market towns both of which come alive on market day. You will be spoilt for choice with the abundance of restaurants which cater for all bugets and fussy eaters. Visit the many local caves selling wine. If you tire of the pool visit the many Plan d'Eau with supervised swimming and boat hire. Tennis courts are neaby and so is horse riding. Bicycle hire can also be organised for you.

Further details indoors: Great care has been taken to provide you with a home from home, arrive to find the beds made up and the welcome pack waiting for you in the kitchen. If you arrive in the winter the fire will have been lit and the heating switched on. You will have nothing to do but unpack and start to enjoy your holiday immediately. We even supply the candles for those long lingering french meals. There is even a welcome folder explaining the area and full of suggestions about the many local tourist attractions. We can be as helpful or as unintrusive as you like.
Further details outdoors: The pool is alarmed and the essential barbeque is provided. There are ample seating and sunlounging areas. Enjoy the exterior living area and its abundance of exotic flowers and plants. There is a large rear garden, ideal for those with energetic children.

Swimming pool available from May to September and is for your exclusive use. For a suplement we can supply camp beds.
Conditions
25% Non refundable deposit upon booking with balance to be paid 8 weeks before travelling. 200 euro security depsosit to be paid with handover of keys and to be repaid at the end of stay subject to property inspection. Hand towels supplied but not pool towels (can be hired separately 5euro per towel) Bedlinen supplied.
