Old Farmhouse
About the home
This large, charming property is a beautifully restored house, set within 0.8 of an acre of land. The property is in a great location, in a picturesque setting in a quiet hamlet, yet only 8 minutes from the town of Sauzé-Vaussais with all your daily requirements. The house is in a large, stone walled courtyard, with own garden and eating area.
Our house is a stunning, spacious conversion with 4 large bedrooms, three bathroom/shower rooms. One of which is on the ground floor, making it ideal for older visitors. The house has been painstakingly and sympathetically restored over recent years, without losing any of its character. All rooms have exposed mellow stone walls and beamed ceilings. This house has stair gates fitted. Prices for smaller groups can be obtained from owner.

My wife and I stayed with 3 kids for a week in August 2012 and really loved it here. Sue and Andy made us feel really welcome but left us alone to enjoy the space, the pool, the barbecue and the ambience. The kids absolutely loved it - they thought that we were staying in a castle and wanted to be in the pool and have barbecues every day so that's what we did! The house was spotless and had everything we needed - would thoroughly recommend it! |

Sue and her partner were the best hosts there could be! Our holiday home was more like our own castle than a holiday home! We happened to stay during the hottest week in France and the swimming pool... more |

I speak on behalf of our family party of 8 who were fortunate enough to spend a blissful week in this stunning, spacious house & setting. Our hosts were superb. They were friendly, helpful but let us get on with enjoying our stay to the max! We ventured to the Puy du Fou, Vallee des Singes & Confolens but to be honest we could have spent the whole time based at the farmhouse with never a dull moment. Eating al fresco, playing sports, swimming, chilling. An ideal spot for walking, cycling too. It would be perfect for children of all ages with extra beds & a beautiful cot available. Plenty of rooms to allow holiday-makers of all ages time & space on their own if needed. A fabulous place to come back to and we were all sad to leave. Would recommend to anyone. Only one regret.........needed another 2 weeks! Thanks to Sue & family for being such stars! |
