This charming house was the original railway station for the village of Abitain and has been sympathetically restored, retaining the original features and fully furnished with antiques. 2 double bedrooms each with double bed. Charming kitchen dining room, study, large bright living room, shower room and WC.
Large private garden with garden furniture for alfresco dining. All bed linen and towels provided.
A short walk to the river for fishing and perfectly situated for driving to the beaches at Biarritz and Hossegor or a trip into the mountains of the Pyrenees.
Drive to nearby historic Sauveterre or Salies-de-Bearn for a variety of restaurants and local supermarkets. There will be an English and French speaker to welcome you with the keys and act as an emergency contact during your stay.

The Bearn is one of the most picturesque areas of France with glorious scenery and gently rolling countryside.
With views of the majestic Pyrenees and close proximity to beaches it is the perfect area for relaxation, or for the more energetic there are a variety or activities locally including golf, fishing, horse riding, swimming, whitewater rafting, climing, walking.
After all that take time to visit and relax in the Thermes in Salies de Bearn famed for their natural hot springs.

The nearest town Sauveterre de Bearn which is Medieval and 6km from Abitain.
There are 2 supermarkets for provisions or visit the friendly English run tea rooms on the rivers edge below the town walls.
A 15 minute drive away is the historic and beautiful town of Salies de Bearn with a wealth of bars and restaurants.

Visit websites of Ryanair & Easyjet for cheap flights into Pau or Biarritz airports, 1 hour drive from each.
