The Loire Valley region

Not only is this region famous for its wine, it is also renowned for apples, and cider is a significant local industry.

The small town of Noyant, just a few kilometres north, has several shops and restaurants, including two bakers and a supermarket.

Saumur

The surrounding area is extremely rural and there are many walks and bridleways connecting to local villages, as well as quiet roads with woodland walks to nearby villages

Apart from the hamlet of Rabion, the nearest village is just 5km which boasts a supermarket ,bakers butchers in fact most of what you need And not to forget the market on friday!.

The nearest main town is Saumur, 26 Km south of us. Saumur is a traditional rural French town with small and specialised shops, including many artistic and memorabilia outlets, boutiques, chocolatieres and delicatessens.

The famous Cavalry School – the Cadre Noir is located in Saumur and the area has a tradition steeped in horses and riding.

There are several other towns of interest situated along the Loire River and the beauty of the area warrants boating and sightseeing trips.

"Perfect Relaxing Holiday"

Lovely gite with everything required for a perfect holiday.
Owners are very welcoming and Tina cooks a fantastic evening meal, we were in heaven.
Steve and Tina were wonderful hosts and were able to answer any questions on the local area. We would not hesitate to recommend this gite to anyone as we had a lovely holiday even though we had not been to this part of France before we settled in very quickly and it felt like our second home.
