A detached stone cottage, L'Ancienne Cure is the village's former Rectory and one of its oldest buildings. Packed with books, DVDs and games and well equipped for young families it can be your French home from home!

Accommodation is set on two levels comprising a huge living area, kitchen (newly renovated for 2010) and bathroom downstairs and two king sized bedrooms upstairs, each reached by their own staircase, but accessible to each other through an adjoining door.

The village has a bakery/shop, a church and its own chateau. Larger supermarkets and amenities are only 5kms away.

A great place to relax and use as a base to explore the many attractions in the local area, including hundreds of vineyards, chateaux, local markets and the cities of Tours, Le Mans and Angers.

The Loire Valley / Maine-et-Loire region

Fabulous Chateaux, welcoming vineyards, outstanding activity parks, varied museums, crystal clear lakes, award winning zoos, long forest walks, safe cycle routes, golf courses and the rivers Le Loir and La Loire, a World Heritage Site. What more could you ask for!

We are also in the middle of a triangle that has the cities of Le Mans, Tours and Angers at each of the points. One week is, quite simply, often not enough!

Saumur area

You can spend a holiday with us and not have to travel more than 15 minutes for a wide range of activities. Living locally, we can book events on your behalf or provide you with further information so you can make the most of your stay. Activities include:

How to get there

Fly to Tours from Stansted and Dublin with Ryanair. Tours airport is about 50mins from us.
Fly to Angers from Southampton with Eastern Airways. Angers airport is about 35mins from us.
All major car hire firms are based at the airports eg. Europcar, Avis
Caen and St.Malo ferry ports are about 3.5 hours away
Calais and Boulogne are about 4.5 to 5 hours away
