This lovely Gite has a huge kitchen/dining room, sitting room and 3 bedrooms. One bedroom on the ground floor with bathroom. 2 x very large family bedrooms upstairs each with a double bed and 2 x single beds and their own bathrooms.
20 acres of gardens and grounds, swimming pool, children's play area, lake for fishing and boating and our horses can be ridden! One of 3 Gites at La Prairie, we also have a choice of Gites situated quietly on their own with private swimming pools. Please contact us for further information.

The Loire Valley / Maine-et-Loire region
The Loire Valley is known for its temperate climate - which is why all the Kings built their holiday homes here. A great choice of wines, ideal climate for growing anything from Asparagus, Strawberries and Melons and a super choice for children.
The Chateaux of Chambord, Chenonceau, Azay le Rideau, Villandry and the Vineyards of Chinon, Bourgeuil and Saumur are just waiting to be visited!
As well as the Cadre Noir in Saumur - a very good Haute Ecole Horse presentation.

The area is rich in history, culture and being a UNESCO heritage site you will find the Loire Valley a great place for nature lovers.
The ideal spot for visiting the Loire Valley, close to a large village with supermarket, boulangerie, butcher, pharmacy etc...but sitting quietly in the countryside.
How to get there
Do not book your Ferry until you have spoken to us! We are able to offer discount Ferry fares from the UK to France on all reservations made with us. Angers and Tours both have airports are are within 45 mins from our Gites Ryanair flies to Tours and Angers.

Further details indoors: We are also able to offer free bicycles on site for your use. A lovely lake for fishing/boating French Cookery lessons by a local French lady. (bien sur!) Horse riding on site. French language lessons by a local French friend. Vineyard tours - you can do plenty of sampling safe in the knowledge that your driver is not drinking! Perfect for children, the Puy de Fou and Futuroscope are nearby.
Further details outdoors: 20 acres of gardens and grounds ensure that you have plenty of private space. Your children have loads of room to run around and play in - with a children's play area, lake for fishing/boating, bicycles for your use and our horses can be ridden!
