Home description
The cottage is full of original features, tastefully decorated, very comfortably furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard with all the comforts of home. Some have private gardens. Bourgueil cottage enjoys shared access to the Heated Swimming Pool, which has security fencing and decking all round. The grounds of the cottages are surrounded by our own private woodland where you can often spot the deer, wild boar, woodpeckers, and birds of prey. The location is a perfect base for visiting the vineyards and famous chateaux of the Loire Valley, shopping in Tours and Angers, or for simply relaxing by the pool or dozing under the shade of the chestnut tree. The many kilometres of forest paths are right on the doorstep making it perfect for cycling and walking. Bikes can be hired on a weekly basis. There is golf and fishing close by too.

Saumur / Vernoil area
The local village of Vernoil is well serviced with a supermarket, petrol station, boulangerie, boucherie, several hairdressers, bars and a salon de the, where you can also buy souvenirs of the region. There are several excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive, and the beautiful chateau town of Saumur is 25 mins drive away, offering many shops, cafe bars and restaurants, nightlife and the famous Cadre Noire.

Further details indoors: "Bourgueil" cottage is, in our opinion, the "Jewel in the Crown". It is extremely spacious, and it has the added bonus of an original tuffeau stone fireplace with a log burning fire, which make winter holidays warm and cosy. It has a wc downstairs as well as in the bathroom on the 1st floor, and has its own utility room. The cottage has a fully fitted kitchen with microwave/combi-oven, extractor hood, dishwasher, washing machine and airers. Bathrooms have heated towel rails giving you warm, dry towels every time. Towels and bed linen are provided FOC together with cots and highchairs on request.
The lounge is equipped with fta sat tv/dvd players. DVD films are provided free of charge, also board games, books and magazines.
Further details outdoors: The courtyard and gadens are securely fenced with gates, making it safe and secure for children. There is a boules court on site and a pic-nic area under the shade of the chestnut tree. Guests are also free to explore the surrounding woodland and vineyard. No vehicles are allowed inside the courtyard for the safety of children and other guests, but there is ample off road parking just outside the gates.
