The Attica region
Hydra is an island of the Saronic Gulf that lies in the middle of beautiful blue waters, close to the Eastern Peloponnese shore.
Hydra is a rocky mountain chain of 20 kilometers and width 1,5 to 6 kilometers. The climate is mediterranean, dry and mild with cool summers and mild winters.
The north winds, which blows to the island, take away the haze of the sea and create a bright and clean horizon.

How to get there
Fly to Athens by KLM, Easy Jet, BA and take bus or taxi to Pireus port, gate 8 for the hydrofoil to Hydra. Bus fee: 3.50 euro. Taxi: about 25 euro By arrival on Hydra hire a donkey to take your luggage up to Kamini where the house is located. Hydra is engine free and has no cars.

Further details indoors: This is a lovely old house ca 1825 with lots of original features. All rooms are spacious, 25m2 min , light and airy. A great library with a multilingual choice of books and an easel if you fancy some painting is at your disposal. The house is kept in the original Greek style. Large terrace. Lots of space is definitely a plus. WC is accessed via the patio.
