Home description
La Ferme de La Tour is an ensemble of beautiful old farm buildings dating back to the 16th century and lovingly restored over the last three years to create the owners accommodation, three impeccably presented luxury cottages and a large swimming pool. La Petite Grange offers accommodation for two to four people in a beautifully renovated barn with lovely original features
Set at the top of a valley, we are surrounded by magnificent countryside, a network of pretty footpaths and a neighbouring historical chateau. The breathtaking valley views and surrounding grounds will overwhelm you with a feeling of peace and tranquility disturbed only by the abundance of wildlife and the occasional distant tractor. The pool which is bathed in sunshine from dawn to dusk is perfectly sited to maximise the views enabling you to watch the ever changing colours of the Dordogne valley. On site activities include table tennis, boules, badminton, table football, swings and a children's play area. We welcome families and couples alike but sorry no pets. Freindly but unintrusive owners live on site.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
Situated within the hamlet of La Tour we are two minutes from the pretty village of Sainte Nathalene with a bar, hotel, restaurants and a small shop. Just 7 miles from the historical town of Sarlat-la Caneda we are perfectly placed for access to all of the most beautiful sites in the Dordogne and the Lot. There are numerous chateaux to visit, caves to explore and pretty market towns to meander through. There is also a wide range of outside activities for all age ranges close by. The Perigord region is famous for it's quality food and wine (of which Sarlat is arguably the capital ) available at very affordable rates. For the more serious wine lover then Bergerac and it's fine wine regions is only an hour away. With mile upon mile of listed footpaths the area is a walkers paradise with views and scenery to match.
Sarlat area
Sarlat-la-Caneda with more listed buildings than any other town in Europe has a twice weekly market held in the medievil centre of town. The market which is both colourful and full of locally grown vegetables, foods of the region and all the nik naks that you would expect from a market of this magnitude is must during your visit. During the evening then you can sit on the terrace of one of the many beautiful restaurants and be entertained by the musicians, jugglers or mime artists that regularly perform throughout the day and evening.

Guestbook
Sue and Jan Reading, England. Date Submitted: May 18, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007 If these are what you are looking for then look no further! La Petite Grange is beautifully furnished and equipped, the views from the terrace are breathtaking, the countryside is peaceful with a variety of activities on site and plenty of gentle walks for you to discover. The location is perfect for getting away from it all and visiting the many, many historic attractions of the area. If it's activity you want then there's much to offer on this front too. Chris and Kate are the perfect hosts, know the area well and are always on hand to offer advice on request. We had such a wonderful time that we're back this year....and probably into the future.
Jimboy Reading, England. Date Submitted: May 19, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2007 We spent a wonderful week in La Petite Grange with our 1 year old daughter and it was wonderful. Very restful and our daughter was made to feel very welcome with essential items provided for her. The gite was very well maintained with wonderful views whilst the garden, pool and pets provided an extra dimension to the holiday. We would definitely recommend these cottages.
