Home description
The cottage at La Ferme de la Tour is sunny and spacious with stunning views from every room, sleeps two to five people in comfort and is immaculately presented. Set in 2 1/2 acres of park like gardens with a large chlorine free pool, the farm is an ensemble of beautiful old buildings, lovingly restored and dating back to the 16th century. Surrounded by magnificent countryside, a network of pretty footpaths and a neighbouring historical chateau, the cottage is the perfect base from which to explore the most beautiful region of Dordogne and Lot.
The breathtaking valley views and surrounding grounds of woodlands and meadows will overwhelm you with a feeling of peace and tranquility disturbed only by the abundance of wildlife and the occasional distant tractor. The pool, which is bathed in sunshine from dawn to dusk, is perfectly sited to maximise the views, enabling you to relax and admire the ever changing colours of the Dordogne valley. We welcome families and couples alike but sorry no pets. Friendly but un-intrusive owners live on site.

Guestbook for Cottage de La Tour
Bris Dorset. Date Submitted: June 13, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008 The cottage is a delight. Set high up with long views over the Dordogne Valley. We used the cottage as a base for local exploring for which it is very well located. We're not in the first flush of youth but we enjoyed swimming in the lovely deep pool (where you don't stub your toe on the bottom doing the breast stroke). Our co-guests children were having a uninhibited free-range time and we enjoyed watching them and envying their energy. Full marks to Chris and Kate for their quiet attention to our occasional requests.
Pete and Elisabeth Skaneateles, New York - USA. Date Submitted: May 23, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2007 Wonderful hosts and lovely accommodations - super clean, comfortable, and spacious - await you at La Ferme de la Tour. The location is ideal for visiting many historic sights with incredible views. We highly recommend this great getaway and hope to one day visit again ourselves!
coopers777 Buckinghamshire, UK. Date Submitted: May 19, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008 We had a fantastic stay here. The owners (Chris and Kate) were very welcoming and so accommodating of our 2 year old. They went out of their way to bring her extra toys, made sure we had everything we needed (baby bath etc) - and couldn't have done more to ensure our stay was more perfect. Nothing was a bother to them. We had some minor problems with the satellite TV which they were on to and fixed straight away. I cannot recommend the Cottage enough. The villa itself was lovely with all the mod cons. The location also perfect - not far from Sarlat but in a quiet peaceful countryside setting overlooking a gorgeous valley. Perfect!!!
Jan &Steve Rochester, Kent. Date Submitted: May 08, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007 Excellent facilities, had a great holiday with very hospitable hosts. Booked immediately again to go back this year. Beautiful location, lots to see and do in the area. Would recommend to anyone. Summer 2007
Lady Jane Bradford. Date Submitted: May 15, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007 What a fantastic location! We spent an idyllic two weeks here last summer (the weather could have been better!). The accommodation was very comfortable and spacious and our hosts were always on hand to help if we needed them. We found a way into Sarlat which only took about 15 mins and avoided all the traffic - fantastic - we visited nearly every day! I would recommend a get away from it all break here and will definitely visit again.
