The cottage is a beautiful quality barn conversion full of original features.It is very comfortably equipped to a high standard. The cottage forms part of five cottage private hamlet dating back to the Hundred Years War in the 15th century. The cottages are set in two and a half acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with stunning views and a large private enclosed pool surrounded by truffle woods.
The setting is extremely calm and tranquil yet gives great acces to the regions many attractions, the Dordogne river, Sarlat, Rocamadour to name but a few. Ideal for walking or cycling in the gorgeous oak forests surrounding the property. Families and couples alike are welcome.

Centrally placed to explore the beautiful and historic Dordogne and Lot Regions, With its world renowned cuisine, wines chateaux and music festivals.We are 4 km from the Dordogne river itself with all the canooing bathing and fishing it offers.The climate offers warm long springs and Autumns and hot summers whilst the countryside remains verdant.
Sarlat / Saint-Julien area
We are within a 15 minute drive of Sarlat, Rocamadour and the Bastide towns of Domme and Gourdon. We are 5 minutes from the Dordogne river, a superb water park with 3 pools 2 slides and innumerable bouncy castles, canooing , horse riding, tennis and an 18 hole golf course. There are two forest climbing centres and a paintball centre within easy reach. We are central to the magnificent caves at Padirac, Lascaux , Cougnac and many others, There are lots of Chateaux to visit and some magnificent gardens. There are many local markets and some superb restaurants to suit every budget and palate.

If driving close to the A20 the main Paris Toulouse link, by air from either Bergerac, Bordeaux, Limoges,Toulouse or Rodez all about 90 minutes away all offer low cost flights

Further details indoors: The cottage is a beautiful barn conversion full of original features , exposed stone and beams throughout. The downstairs living area consists of an open plan well equipped kitchen, a dining area and a seating and tv area as well as two shower rooms. Upstairs houses the bedrooms complete with high ceilings and exposed stone and beams. All have built in wardrobes. Cots, highchairs and baby bath available upon request Freezer and washing machine are communal. Washing machine available at 3 euros per load. All household cleaning products provided.
Further details outdoors: Each of the cottages have their own private terrace The 2 and a half acre gardens offer a multitude of sporting facilities, a covered table tennis and darts area, a badminton court and volley ball net, a football and basketball area, a wooden climbing fort, two sets of swings with slide a large boules area complete with Horseshoe games. Set in an old walnut orchard the grounds offer lots of shade or sun spots for tanning or snoozing depending on your mood. The large pool area, alarmed and fenced, is set apart from the cottages in the corner of the grounds surrounded by oak forest and offers privacy of bathing whilst enjoyong views over spectacular countryside.

Conditions
Regrettably no smoking within the cottage itself , although you may do so in the gardens and on your terrace. No animals - however small!! Refundable breakages deposit of £150 required with final payment, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure
