The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
The Dordogne and Lot regions are full of history, from its dozens of chateaux to its 50+ caves systems including the fabulous Gouffre du Padirac, and the amazing Lascaux. The climate is also very benign with long warm Springs and Autumns and hot summers. There are many interesting places to visit from market towns to vinyards to waterparks as well as the activities based around the Dordogne,La Correze and the Lot rivers.
Sarlat / Saint-Julien area
We are a five minute drive from the Dordogne river and its canooing, swimming and fishing.We are within twenty minutes of Rocamadour and Sarlat. We are in the heart of the Dordogne and Lot regions famous for their chateaux, Bastide towns, Perigord cuisine and fine wines. Close by there is a superb water park and horse riding facilities as well as an 18 hole golf course.

If driving close to the A20 the main Paris Toulouse link, by air from either Bergerac, Bordeaux, Limoges,Toulouse or Rodez all about 90 minutes away all offer low cost flights

Further details indoors: Set in its own beautiful gated gardens of 2000m2 abounding with oak and fruit trees and shrubs, the charming single level cottage offers three bedrooms, two doubles and one twin sleeping up to 6 people. It has a very well equipped kitchen with dining area for 6. The kitchen offers a gas cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, microwave,toaster along with all crockery and utensils aiming to give you a home from home feel. The kitchen leads onto a covered terrace running the length of the house with a wooden bench and table and then onto an additional eating area with patio chairs, tables and bbq both perfect for alfresco eating whatever the weather. There is a separate living area with a sofa and two chairs,tv and dvd player and finally a large shower room and W.C.The tv offers all the main English channels including all the bbc channels ,itvs channels, channel 4 more 4 ,E4 and Film 4 The pool is 5.3metres and Hexagonal in shape and can be made child safe by the removal of the steps. The fenced and gated garden offers a boules area, badminton/volleyball area and an ornamental fish pond and two parking areas The gardens themselves have stunning countryside views all around and provide a tranquil respite for all with no visible neighbours .

Throughout July and August the changeover day is Saturday and minimum booking period is a week, outside of this we can be more flexible to changeover day and length of stay Sorry no pets allowed however cute! No smoking in the property itself but smoking is allowed on the balcony or in the gardens . Refundable breakages deposit of 200 euros/£150 required on arrival and returned on departure.
