The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
The Dordogne and Lot regions are full of history, from its dozens of chateaux to its 50+ caves systems including the fabulous Gouffre du Padirac, and the amazing Lascaux. The climate is also very benign with long warm Springs and Autumns and hot summers. There are many interesting places to visit from market towns to vinyards to waterparks as well as the activities based around the Dordogne,La Correze and the Lot rivers.
Sarlat / Saint-Julien area
We are a five minute drive from the Dordogne river and its canooing, swimming and fishing.We are within twenty minutes of Rocamadour and Sarlat. We are in the heart of the Dordogne and Lot regions famous for their chateaux, Bastide towns, Perigord cuisine and fine wines. Close by there is a superb water park and horse riding facilities as well as an 18 hole golf course.

If driving close to the A20 the main Paris Toulouse link, by air from either Bergerac, Bordeaux, Limoges,Toulouse or Rodez all about 90 minutes away all offer low cost flights

Further details indoors: In the depths of the beautiful French oak filled countryside, this lovely cottage built on one level offers the perfect spot to explore the Dordogne and the Lot departments of France, famed for their historic castles, chateau, caves and the Dordogne river itself. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen dining area, 3 large bedrooms and a separate living room with TV and DVD.There is a newly fitted shower room with handbasin and a W.C.
Further details outdoors: Within enclosed tree filled gardens of 2000m2 there is a private above ground pool 5.3m hexagon, a fish pond, badminton area, charcoal barbeque,large terrace,and a pergola offering shade.The pool is for the sole use of the cottage occupants as are the lovely gardens.
