Situated in the green heart of Umbria, just under the Saragano hill, “Il Torrione” property is composed of a recently restored 17th Century building and a separate guest house. Guests will stay in a separate apartment with use of the pool, large patio and bbq area.
The property also hosts a surrounding farm of about 100 acres, which produces wine and olive oil available for sale to all guests. Within the grounds you can also find some forest and natural Mediterranean vegetation, where some wild fruits and vegetables (like blackberries and asparagus) grow.

The Umbria region
The Umbria region is in the centre of Italy and the warm spring and autumn, with the hot summer months of July and August, make it ever popular with visitors. The green hills provide a refreshing change from the hill towns and cities of the area: a land of rolling hills, vineyards, olive tree groves and woods of oak and other typical Mediterranean trees.
Tourism is growing because of the well-known harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres (the landscape is dotted with many picturesque medieval villages) and culture; You are surrounded by history - and the best food and wine in the world!
The area retains its ancient rural charms with local festivals to be found honouring saints or local specialities, or famous events as the Jazz Festival and Euro chocolate .
Saragano area
The region around the property offers a wide range of attraction such as Todi, famous for its history and arts; Corbara Lake, which offers a relaxing atmosphere and hunting areas; Montefalco where you can find restaurants which offer amazing food and wine; Bevagna, Foligno, Spoleto (famous for its Music Festival), Assisi and Perugia famous for art treasures and events like "Umbria Jazz" and "Euro Chocolate".

How to get there
The apartments can be reached in 40-45 minutes by car from Perugia Airport, which has direct flights to London Stansted. Direct flights also from Rome (Leonardo da Vinci and Ciampino), at 2 hours by car from the property, Ancona at 2.5 hours and Pisa at 3 hours. The area is close to the E45 dual carriageway linking it to Terni and Rome in the south, and Perugia and the main motorway network to the north and west.
The nearest train stations are at Todi or Foligno (20 kilometres), with journey times to Rome of around 2 hours and 1 hour 45 minutes respectively.

It is a one level apartment, furnished with a mixture of ancient and modern style. It has a living room with a dining area and a sofa; the kitchen is well equipped with new household appliance.
In one bedroom there two single beds and in the other one a queen bed. The bathroom is fully equipped (shower).
Further details outdoors: Il Torrione property is located in one of the most amazing green countrysides in Italy. The hills and the wine yards surround the property, allowing Il Torrione to have an extremely relaxing atmosphere. The presence of a swimming pool at guests’ disposal, a huge outdoor space and the BBQ with exterior table contributes to create the perfect ambience for a typical holiday in family.
