There is also a lovely little park with jungle gym's to keep the little one's busy.

The apartment has central vacuum and kitchen is equipped with cupboards, a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Bathroom is charming with quaint mosaic tiles. The floors in the living area are ceramic and the bedrooms have wood veneer floors.

25 % deposit required at time of booking, balance is payable on arrival. Reservations are never secured or held until the deposit has been paid.
Cancellation and amendment charges apply and this apartment is strictly non-smoking. A cash security deposit against breakages or a credit/debit card imprint shall be required upon arrival.

On change-over days, departing guests must check out no later than 10:30 and new arriving guests should not check in before 15:00. We are happy to consider earlier check-in times, if there are no other guests departing on the date of your arrival.

The Sao Martinho do Porto / Leiria area
Sao Martinho do Porto is a small traditional Portugeuse fishing town located around a spectacular natural bay, known as "Concha" by the locals due to its shell like appearance. It is also surrounded by a vast sweeping beach which curls all the way around the bay. This forms a naturally sheltered swimming area and is one of the best places to bathe with its calm, shallow and sun warmed water making it ideal for families.
The village has maintained its marvellous character and much of the older historic parts still have cobbled streets. You will also find a frequent fish and fresh vegetables market and a monthly open air antiques fair. There are many bars, coffee houses and marvellous restaurants to explore, catering for every taste.
The area is still very much unspoilt and traditional, and you could be one of the select few to discover the natural beauty and charm of the real Portugal. Come and stay with us and explore the stunning natural beauty for yourself!

Lisbon International Airport is located approximately 100km south of Sao Martinho do Porto and it is an easy drive along the A8 motorway. The overall journey time from the airport is between 50 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions. Detailed directions to Sao Martinho will be provided at the time of booking.
If you don't want to hire a car, you can access Sao Martinho by catching a taxi from the airport to Lisbon bus station (approx 15 Euros) and then catching a direct coach service, which takes just over an hour and costs about 7 Euros. The bus company that is most used is Rede Expresso.
Car hire: A number of car rental companies operate from Lisbon airport, including Avis (www.avis.co.uk); Budget (www.budget.co.uk); Europcar (www.europcar.co.uk); Hertz (www.hertz.co.uk). Brokers include Holiday Autos (www.holidayautos.co.uk) and Holiday Cars Direct (www.holidaycarsdirect.com).

Had a 2 week holiday here. Lovely accommodation, very spacious. We were able to walk to beach and into town no problem at all. Main supermarket can be walked to, but do noy buy too much if walking back !! Great bakers up near the village market. Very reasonable to eat out locally. Lovely beach and many great surrounding vilages/towns. The only suprise was the weather, very windy and cloud cover most days Would go back and would recomend to others. A good holiday location. |
