About the home

The spacious villa has it's own private pool and BBQ area. It has two receptions rooms and a kitchen/diner and also a large games room in the basement. The 3 bedrooms all have their own verandas, electric blinds, air-conditioning and central heating. 2 with king size beds, 1 with 2 single beds and all are fully furnished with extensive built in wardrobes and drawers.

The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and separate dressing room. The villa also has a family bathroom upstairs with a further shower room and toilet downstairs.

Comfortable lounge/dining room easily seating 8 with satellite TV and DVD player. A selection of DVD’s, books and games are available for all to enjoy.

The villa is finished to a very high standard and should ensure your stay will be as enjoyable and as comfortable as we can make it.

Children are welcome but should be supervised at all times. Additional guest beds for children are available if required.

Further details outdoors:
The private pool area is fully enclosed and comes with outside shower and built in BBQ. It is furnished with outside table, chairs, large parasol and sun loungers so you can enjoy this private space.

The built in BBQ (with small sink) also means you can enjoy the warm evenings and make the most of the fresh foods available in local shops and markets.

On arrival our local agent will be available to show you around the house and help you with places of interest, nearest beaches and shopping outlets etc.

In case of emergencies they are available 24/7.

A further deposit of £300 or euro equivalent will be requested in advance against any damages that may occur. Refundable within 10 days of departure.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

This area of coast extends north from Lisbon up to Porto. The recently constructed A8 motorway gives fast and direct access to the scenic coastline and picturesque countryside with any number of interesting towns and villages to visit - many directly on the ocean.

There are also numerous historical places and one outstanding attraction is the Medieval Town of Òbidos. Surrounded by castle walls, full of small cobbled streets - this gives us a glimpse of how Portugal must have looked 100 years ago.

The area benefits from many spectacular beaches with miles of golden sand. The nearby beaches of Nazare and Peniche are favourites with surfers and sunbathers and Sao Martinho do Porto has a natural lagoon ideal for families with young children.
The climate is perfect - warm in winter, warmer in Summer up to 85, low humidity due to warm sea breezes with minimum rainfall.

The Sao Martinho do Porto / Famalicao area

The fishing town of Nazaré has been popular for many years with a wide sandy beach, narrow streets full of local shops and restaurants with several pedestrianised squares to relax in and take in the atmosphere.
The marina area is recently developed and you can hire boats for fishing or sightseeing to enhance your visit.
Nazaré also has a themed water park ideal for all the family.
The historic town of Sitio overlooks Nazare and can be reached by road or cliff railway.It has fantastic views of the coastline for many miles and is a regular tourist attraction.
Sao Martinho do Porto also many small cafes and restauarants which overlook the large beach and lagoon and is a fantastic place to watch the sun go down.
There are many pine forests with paths for walking and cycling, some of which stretch down to unspoilt beaches.
Golf is available at Royal Obidos Golf Club and Praia del Rey -considered to be the best golf resort in Europe in 2007.

“Awesome villa” Amazing villa, very spacious, extremely well equipped. Great having our own private pool with lovely patio area for sunbathing. Heaps of useful information left by the owners on places to visit. Must haves are: Obidos and Batalha Very definitely would like to stay in this Villa again. We also thought the meet and greet by Vincent was great, and he showed us everything we needed to know. The games room in the basement is a fantastic idea, and would keep children and adults alike happy for hours on a rainy day. Car is a must have as the Villa is located outside the major towns.

I've been meaning to drop you a line since getting back from your wonderful villa last week, where we had a terrific time. With so much to see, we were spoilt for choice with the beautiful beaches and towns and then returning to relax by the pool with a BBQ and glass of wine, the perfect end to the day. For the first time I was very reluctant to return home from holiday! (Liz Shields-Letterkenny -Eire)

The drive from Lisbon airport was very easy and only took a hour and a quarter, finding your villa was simple.What a beautiful villa , we have been having villa holidays for over ten years , renting mainly from James villas , and your villa was far superior to any of which we have stayed in before.Where do I begin, the lounge was fantastic with comfy sofas and a flat screen TV, plus enough DVDs to watch for the whole two weeks, also a lovely formal dining table.My wife was very pleased with the spacious kitchen/diner, with all the mod cons especially the hoover under the sink !! The bedrooms were all spacious and presented to a very high standard , with king-size beds in two rooms and two singles in the other.All three bathrooms were lovely .The garden and pool were great , and we spent many hours sunbathing and swimming and having bbqs . The games room was a big hit with us , we loved playing darts , pool and table tennis ! Nazare was a great town with loads of people walking about , very good restaurants, and gift shops! we spent most of our nights in the Irish bar .We also went to Foz de arello , which had a lovely beach and a great restaurant called the Ambassador, whose staff could not do enough for us.Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend renting this fantastic villa .(Ian Edwards - Ware - England)


The holiday was magnificent and your villa is absolutely deluxe and gorgeous. We really enjoyed your villa. It feels like home. The CDs in the kitchen were played frequently, the bbq we used twice. The other days we went out for dinner in Nazare, Alcobaca, Caldas dela Reinha etc. So many delicious restaurants! We loved the swimming pool, especially the kids. The games room was absolutely perfect. We played daily table tennis, pool and our favourite darts! David, Sylvia and her mother (our agent and cleaners) were all lovely people! Only compliments! . Our favourite beach was Salgado! We were also three days out in Lissabon. In conclusion, it was a unforgettable holiday at your place! (Bing Thio - Den Haag - Netherlands)


I am just writing with feedback from our recent holiday at your villa in Portugal.
As described on your website, the villa itself was wonderful. It was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a lovely pool and barbecue area.
We had never been to the Silver Coast before but there were so many amazing beaches – all within easy reach by car. We liked the variety, with some suitable for surfers but others more suited to families.

below you'll find most important observations from our holidays at Vila Sol:
- interior of the house: very chic, you could see a big attention towards guests (all information provided and maps, all these little but useful and nice things, like a set of sharp knives, DVDs (incl. Noddy for kids :) etc. The place and a pool maintained very well, with great taste.
- a gentleman who welcomed us, explained eveything clearly, gave us few useful advices (where to shop, etc)
- the area itself is very interesting: empty Salgado beaches, nearby towns, we visited also cathedrals in Batalia, Alcobaca, Tomar.
