Presented and equipped to a superb standard, this brand new apartment, near to the beach (500 meters), offers guests the perfect retreat at the end of a day spent enjoying the sun, sea and culture of this extraordinary town on Portugal's silver coast. With a beautiful communal swimming pool and tennis court the apartment is perfect for families looking for an environment where the whole family can relax and enjoy their holiday from the minute they arrive. Just a short walk from the many restaurants, cafes and shops of Sao Martinho guests can enjoy all that Sao Martinho has to offer without the worry of a lengthy journey home at the end of the day.

The Apartment is built to a superb specification, professionally furnished and fully air-conditioned. Modern, tasteful furniture allow guests the highest standards in style and comfort. It has a modern well-equipped kitchen, a large lounge/dining room with French doors which lead to a balcony offering a stunning view over the local countryside. A stylish bathroom decorated with mosaic tiles and furnished with a Jacuzzi adds more luxury to this beautiful apartment.

Equipped with a 32” Plasma TV, a stereo system, a DVD and a range of movies to suit all tastes, guests have all the entertainment they could need for truly relaxing holiday. The apartment also benefits from a central vacuuming system and hot or cold air conditioning. The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

Below are just some of the many suggestions for a day out in the Silver Coast:

The neighbouring town Nazaré, a charming old fishing town is 10km away.
The beautiful medieval borough Óbidos (20 km),
Foz D'Arelho with the stunning Obidos Lagoon is 10km. Perfect for all types of water sports.
The historic town Alcobaca with the famous monastery is 15km.
Peniche, famous for surfing and the renowned 'supertubos' wave is 40km. From here you can catch a boat to the Berlengas Islands - a nature reserve.

Lisbon is 100km.
The UNESCO world heritage site Sintra with 2 palaces is 90km.
The Gothic city Santarém and the museum house of Alpiarça is 70 km
The palace, the church and the convent of Mafra is 90 km.

Also visit the basilica and the convent of Batalha from the 14th century. The pilgrimage destination Fátima (50 km), the castles of Leiria and Porto do Mos. The university city Coïmbra (100 km), the convent of the tempeliers in Tomar, etc..

Golf lovers can visit the 'Bom Sucesso' golf course, 'Golden Eagle' and 'The Praia del Rey' all within 50 km of Sao Martinho.

Given the location of Sao Martinho do Porto it suits those wanting to relax on a beach as well as those who love water sports such as sailing, canoeing, wind surfing and kite surfing. Visitors may also soak up some of the wide ranging cultural heritage of the Silver Coast. There is a vast wealth of history and culture in the area and there are many beautiful and picturesque towns too.

Other days out include a dinosaur trail and 'Buddha Eden Gardens' where visitors can see a beautiful collection of Buddha Statues.

The town benefits from a doctor, a pharmacy, bank and post office as well as a number of other shops. A large supermarket is within approximately 10 minutes walking distance of the apartment.

Lisbon Airport is recommended as it is an easy drive along the A8 taking between 50 mins to 1 hour depending on traffic.

If you don't want to hire a car then we can assist you in arranging transfers for approximately € 80 each way.

Alternatively you can take a taxi from Lisbon airport to Lisbon bus station (15 Euros) and there is a direct regular coach service from there taking just over an hour (9 Euros each way).

Alternatively you can fly to Oporto (2.5 hour drive) or Faro (3.5 hour drive).

The excellent website, www.seat61.com, gives a choice of routes from the UK to Portugal.
For Lisbon, you can take the 10.23am Eurostar from London to Paris and the 15.50 TGV service to Irún on the Spanish border, which connects with the 22.00 overnight Sud Express to Lisbon, which arrives at 11.03am the following day. “Modern, homely apartment with great amenities and in a safe area.” We had a family of five adults, who all managed to stay in the apartment without any problem of space or things to do. The comfortable living area has big sofas and a huge TV with DVD player. There is a good selection of DVDs for the days you want to just chill out indoors. The bedrooms are spacious and provide enough room to unpack and store your belongings. The bathroom with jacuzzi was a welcome feature especially after a long day shopping in nearby market towns! We made full use of the kitchen and were able to cook a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods. The dishwasher is genious and a nice addition when you are all on holiday. We found the cupboards well stocked with plates, serving bowls, saucepans, pots, drinking and wine glasses. We even found one nice pre-holidayer had left enough tea bags, coffee and dishwashing powder to get us started! Thank you for providing us with peaceful, hassle-free accomodation in such a lovely town.
