This is a very spacious three bedroom apartment on the second floor of a centrally-located luxury apartment building just 20 metres from the beach. Benefiting from a large lounge and kitchen, there are three bedrooms, one double with en-suite and two further twin rooms, together with a family bathroom. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, and one has its own balcony.
A further balcony is located off the kitchen and lounge which offers views to the bay. Access to the second floor is via stairs or a lift. Guests have the use of the gym and pool table in the lobby. Free, high speed, secure internet access is also available together with an allocated parking space in the secure underground car park.

Although parking is nearly always possible close by, guests do have the use of an allocated parking space in the apartment block's own underground car park, for which a remote controlled access key will be provided on arrival. The car park is linked to the apartment via an internal stairway and lift to all floors.
The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region
Surrounding places of interest include: Nazarre - bigger fishing port and resort, Obidos - Walled town with annual Medieval Fayre (July), Foz do Alreho - surfers beach with cafes/restaurants.
Other nearby beaches include Foz de Arelho and Praia d'el Rey. Nearby Peniche offers some of the best surfing in Europe.
For golfers, all within easy access by car are Praia d'el Rey, rated as one of the best golf courses in Europe, Golden eagle and Rio Maior.
Sao Martinho do Porto
Sao Martinho is the perfect choice for a seaside holiday, with or without children. Guests will find everything they need within walking distance of the apartments; cafes, bars, cash machines, supermarkets and shops, plus a wide range of restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets
The beach resort of São Martinho do Porto offers 3 kms of sheltered beach in a semi-circle around São Martinho Bay. It provides perfect conditions for children and for nautical sports such as wind surfing, sailing and canoeing. The infrastructure is well developed and there are a number of good restaurants specialising in local gastronomic dishes. The beach is supervised and there are facilities for the disabled. The average summer seawater temperature is 17-19ºC. Other facilities include showers, umbrella and small craft hire. Paragliding is also available.

"Didn't stay in place reserved"
We reserved Bay View Apartment but it was unavailable leases than a week prior to our arrival. Clive made it sound like the place he reserved instead was better, but who knows and who really knows wh… More

This is the first time we have not been able to offer the correct accommodation for one of our guests and I'm sorry about that. As soon as the problem presented itself, I e-mailed you and gave you a link to the alternative accommodation we had found for you. I accept that it was not as close to the beach as Bay View Apartment, but by way of compensation it did have a swimming pool. You quickly responded saying that it looked fine. For your information, the alternative accommodation was a more expensive apartment to rent. It does not belong to us and, of course, we met the difference in rental costs. I believe that we acted professionally, presenting you with a solution to the problem and obtaining your approval beforehand. Another option would have been to cancel your booking and to send you a refund - but that is not in keeping with our values.
I'm sorry to hear of the distress your children experienced for the two days they spent without internet access at the apartment. I understand that access to social media is fast-becoming a necessity for some, which is why we now offer it, free of charge, in all of our properties. I should point out, however, that your original booking was made on the 30th December 2013, a full three months before we made the decision to install wi-fi in any of our properties, or to advertise it as being available. Since your original booking was for an apartment without internet access, I do not believe it is reasonable to complain that the alternative accommodation we found for you did not have this facility.
Regarding your comments about the Security Deposit, when you first e-mailed me about this and I offered to call Paypal on your behalf to chase it up, I was advised that refunds can take up to five working days to find their way back to a credit card. I note that, as of the date of receipt of this review, it has been five working days since I initiated the refund and I trust that this has now been completed - but as I said in my e-mail to you informing you of the outcome of my discussion with Paypal, keep me informed and I'll do anything I can to assist.

"Well equipped and spacious accommodation"
This apartment easily accommodated our party of six. The kitchen/diner was a particular asset. Very well equipped and everything worked. The sofas in the lounge were particularly enjoyed by the 'sprawlers' in our group. The beds were fim but not uncomfortable if you allow this is holiday accommodation. My one criticism is that the second shower fitting could do with an update.
The apartment was in a central low rise block that is mainly residential.
We enjoyed being in the middle of the resort with its easy access to beach, shops and restaurants. As you would expect in a busy family resort in August, some nightimes and early mornings were a bit noisy, but I can imagine it gets very quiet out of the main summer months.

"A Delightful Apartment"
An exceptionally well managed stay from my initial inquiry (a recommendation from an Australian friend) to collection at Lisbon airport and drop off at the door by lovely friendly Nelson. This had been arranged easily with the owner, and as we were having a two-centre holiday, he also sorted out our pick up and drop off to his property the Casa de Cima in Obidos a few days later. My son and I were very happy with our beautifully appointed Bay View Apartment, and well named too, with views out over the gorgeous bay. The lift took us up from the lobby, every thing is very secure too. We were situated on the beach, in the very walkable town with lots of lovely places to eat. If we didn't live in New Zealand we would be back like a shot.

"Great Modern apartment in a great location"
My wife and I stayed in this apartment with another couple for five days, using it as a base to see some of t he local sights of the Silver Coast. We drove to Sao Martinho from Lisbon and were met by Mic who showed us in and gave us some great tips about restaurants in the town. He was very friendly and helpful, informing us he was just five minutes away if we needed anything –nice to know in a foreign country when you don't speak the language. The apartment is in the back and doesn't have a full on sea view, except for the small balcony off the kitchen but does have large rooms and the kitchen with its bay window is the real heart of the place. None of the four of us felt it was too small and would be a great place for a family or small group. We were there is late October so the town was fairly quiet but we took some great walks along the beach and in the town. There is a great seafood restaurant called Tasca no Cais which sells fish caught that day. Portobellos is also a great place with its Italian food. The place is pretty much in the center of town so it is a matter of turning right or left when you come out the door or just cross the street to the beach. There is a new grocery store just a couple of blocks away and we had fun buying different things and taking them back to the apartment and fixing meals in the well equipped kitchen. We had a car and Mic gave us the key to the underground parking which meant we always had our own parking spot. If you have a car Obidos is a must see. We also drove to Tomar to go to through the Convent de Cristo and Batalha. We also drove down to Peniche which is worth the drive. When all is said and done this place was great and if we ever go back to Portugal this would definitely be a place we would stay at again.
