About the home

This is a lovely modern 2 bedroom apartment with separate fully equipped kitchen and family bathroom, balcony all round. Sleeps 4, two bedrooms each with twin beds. Dining suite sits 6, lounge suite seats 5, double sofa folds out to double bed. 32 in plasma tv with UK free-sat plus box so you don't miss your favorite programs. Small collection of books, DVDs, games.

2nd floor accessed via stairs or lift. Lift also goes to rooftop gym and (not heated) pool. This is ideal for families, small groups for fun in the sun or relaxing break away. Apartment has a secure door entry system and alarm system.

This is great location for golfers with some fab courses within 30 mins drive, also great for surfers - with some of the best all year round surf beaches in the country.Sao Martinho beach is a lovely calm safe beach for all the family. One hour away from Fatima.

This part of Portugal is very popular with the Portuguese, restaurants and bars are cheapest in Europe, friendly people, great food and beautiful weather.

We supply a pay as you go phone and internet dongle for our guests to use during their stay. We also supply beach towels and beach equipment. We have tried to think of everything.

Facilities

The apartment was newly built in July 2010 and has been furnished to a good standard. It has a built in vacuum system. The block is located just outside the town and surrounded by countryside with horses roaming close by. Views to the sea and the town from the apartment and rooftop. The railway track between the apartments and the sea - only noticed when a train goes by, which is about 2 to 3 times a day. Trains in this region are old fashioned - it is quicker to bus it!! There are some great restaurants in the town and in the next neighbouring town of Salir do Porto.
Bicycle hire is available locally and also great beaches for fishing.
TV plus box with UK freesat channels, dvd recorder, radio, well equipped for family and group holidays.

Apartment is one of 11 apartments of varying sizes in the block, with car parking spaces underneath building in open air and also outside spaces. Part of the building is on concrete stilts. Balcony furniture is moveable from inside to the balcony. Great sunbathing space on rooftop, quiet location just outside the town itself. Surrounded by land with horses and sheep, views over to the sea and to the town. Electronic door entry system. Elevator to each floor and to rooftop gym. Pool is on roof, gym also on roof but covered by concrete roof and glass walls.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

Sao Martinho is a beautiful location, with a shell shaped bay and great walkways around the beach. This is a region with 5 of the top ten places in Portugual to visit including the famous medieval castle of Obidos, the historical towns of Alcobaca and Batalha, also not far from Sintra. There are a choice of gorgeous beaches, or go inland and visit the famous bull fighting town of Rio Major or Santarem. Also not far from Fatima and Tomar which is famously linked the the Knights of the Templar. However if Golf is your game then head for Golden Eagle, or Bom Successo or the famous Praia del Rei - all great competition courses! This is a beautiful region to explore - a place you will want to return to!

The Sao Martinho do Porto / Salir do Porto area

Obidos hosts the famous Chocolate festival in February and the equally famous Medieval festival in July. Every town has two or three festivals a year and they are worth going to - Nazare is just up the road and when it holds its festival - it is worth going to!! The Portuguese are the friendliest and most helpful race - we love them and you will too!

End of holiday clean £50. Mid holiday clean is available upon request, however guests will have to pay cleaner direct in euros.

We strongly recommend car hire because there is such a lot of lovely places to visit, however we can help arrange pick up and return to airport 85 euro each way, this is payable directly to the driver.

£100 deposit at time of booking and balance of Payment must be made at least 3 weeks prior to stay.
