Home description
A new beautifully built and well appointed apartment situated in the stunning SIlver Coast town of Sao Martinho do Porto (please see google earth view). Ideal for either families who want all the facilities for their children to play safely or those who just want to take it easy and relax.
The complex has communal swimming pool which has sun all day and tennis court along with maturing gardens. The lovely town centre and beach is just a 10 minute stroll where you are spoilt for choice of bars, restaurants an seaside shops. Enjoy a drink on the sea front or take in a meal where locally caught fish is a speciality. Typically, a family of four can eat a two course meal with drinks for around 40euros in most of the local restaurants.
The accommodation is built to a high specification and is tastefully furnished. The kitchen has stone worktops and is fully equipped. In the spacious lounge/diner you can relax on leather sofas whilst accessing the ever expanding book/CD/DVD library. There are two spacious bedrooms sleeping 4 along with a sofa bed which would accommodate and extra adult. The bathroom uses ROCA sanitaryware with shower/jucuzzi and surrounded by lovely variagated pink mosiac tiles. All rooms have balconies and air conditioning.
If you are hiring a car, you have the comfort of having 2 parking spaces in the secure underground carpark, ideal if you are with a golfing party and require 2 cars.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
The climate of the Leiria Region is under the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, therefore, having pleasant weather all year round. In summertime the climate has an average temperature in the high 20c’s and in winter temperatures descend a little to an average of 15c in December.
The neighbouring town Nazaré, a charming old fishing town is 10km away. The beautiful medieval borough Óbidos (20 km), Foz D'Arelho with the stunning Obidos Lagoon is 10km. Perfect for all types of water sports. The historic town Alcobaca with the famous monastery is 15km. Peniche, famous for surfing and the renowned 'supertubos' wave is 40km. From here you can catch a boat to the Berlengas Islands - a nature reserve.
Sao Martinho do Porto area
Sao Martinho do Porto, a small traditional Portuguese fishing town, sits on the edge of a spectacular bay and is protected from the Atlantic so is perfect for families and ideal for windsurfing and sailing. The beach is considered to be one of the top 10 in Portugal. The bay is surrounded by a wide range of cafes, bars and restaurants with amazing views.
There is a supermarket, shops and a regular fish and vegetable market. This idyllic town has loads of character and much of the older historic parts still have cobbled streets. There are 5 golf courses within a 30 min drive, including the Praia d’el Rey championship course – one of the best in Europe.

If you are intending to use public transport, there is an excellent bus service ( REDE expressos ) adult fare 9.50euros and child 5.70euros. Catch a taxi from the airport to the central bus station which will be about 15euros. Bus journey time is an hour and a half. There are trains which run to Sao Martinho from the main rail station. It's a 5 min walk from Sao Martinho station to the apartment.
