Home description

Casa Helen Anne is set in tranquil and rural settings surrounded by cork trees and many other interesting fauna. It is an ideal place to relax and unwind, with stunning views surrounding the villa. The villa itself is detached with its own private swimming pool and with its own private parking. There are two outside barbecues: one upstairs to the rear of the house and one downstairs near the swimming pool with a large pergola of covered area for shade.

There are lovely walks to be enjoyed or cycled. The villa is furnished to a modern standard yet still retaining its original Portuguese style with terracotta flooring which is lovely and cool in the summer. There is a local bar a few minutes' walk away; alternatively, you can go down to the large market town of Sao Bras de Alportel which is a 10 minute walk. Beaches and golf courses are approx 20 min by car

The Algarve / East Algarve region

The town of Loule is 10 mins away with the Aquamarine park in Guia 30 mins away. Tavira and Olhao, famous for their fresh fish, are also 30mins away. Vale de Lobo and Villamoura are 25mins away. There are golf courses and beaches no more than 20min away with the border of Spain approximately 35 min away. There is also a welcome book showing places of local interest with local restaurants/bars that are recommended by the owners and people who have stayed there. There is a local restuarant near to villa call Inn Sao Bras (O patio)and can strongly recommend they specialise in Barbeque fish and meat platters and you will not be disappointed closed Mondays

Sao Bras de Alportel / Farrobo area

Sao Bras de Alportel is a large traditional Portuguese town with the local market every Saturday selling a wide range of local produce including local honey and modreho (liquer) the town itself has many restaurants and bars catering for all tastes from inexpensive to al a carte there are plenty of shopping facilities and supermarkets as you would expect of a large town including local banks and newsagents.

How to get there

Casa Helen Anne is 20 mins from Faro Airport. All major airlines fly to Faro including Easyjet and ryan air.
Car hire companies are on the internet or at Faro airport and include Hertz, Europcar,Avis and National..
