The Algarve / East Algarve region
The Algarve is the southern most region of Portugal and a beloved holiday destination well known for glorious year round sunshine and excellent sandy beaches. These vary from secluded coves with amazing cliffs to vast stretches of golden sand all sea washed by the fresh and clear Atlantic ocean.
Inland you will find quaint villages barely touched by tourism, and surrounded by peaceful countryside. With miles of beautiful orange, almond and olive groves.
The Algarve is a children's haven with several exciting water parks, 'Zoomarine' sealife centre, horse riding centres and plenty of fun on the beaches! Whatever your preference, you will find your personal paradise in the Algarve.
However, if you fancy a drive into Spain then the border is only a 50 minute drive and Seville approx two hours depending on traffic.
Sao Bras de Alportel / Alportel area
Alportel is a small village in the hills above Sao Bras de Alportel. It is exactly 20km from Faro, the same distance from the nearest sandy beach in Vale do Lobo.
The villa is located a short way from the main Faro to Lisbon road at Alportel. A 5 min drive will take you into the town of Sao Bras which has lively markets offering local produce, a supermarket and several restaurants and bars. The villa is in walking distance from Cerro Do Alportel which has a mini market & a few small cafe/bars.
The long sandy beaches, stunning golf courses and other facilities at Vale do Lobo and Quinta da Lago are a 25 min drive away.

* Fly to Faro - Casa Labirinto is approx 20 km from the airport (20 - 30 mins) * There are local taxis available at the airport. The charge is approx 35€ * Taxis can be arranged in advance for €25 * Car hire is available and could recommend Amoita car rentals

Further details indoors: Casa Labirinto has 4 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Very large open plan living area, with full length french doors overlooking the terrace & flower gardens. Comfortable seating to relax and unwind, and a dining table for 10 people. It is an ideal area to enjoy the views in this uniquely tranquil setting.

Further details outdoors: The villa is enclosed by a beautiful walled garden with fruit trees and is secured by a large wrought iron gate:designed with family safety in mind. This charming property has spectacular views stretching for some 20km over completely unspoilt countryside. The dedicated BBQ and dining terrace is seculded and tree shaded.
The fantastic swimming pool shared by just 3 villas, is set just a few steps from the property. The pool being some 50' by 20' with 12 solar panels and internal and extenal floodlighting. It is surrounded by a large landscaped terrace with plenty of sun loungers and tables.
The tennis court has an all weather finish.
Ample parking is available in the Car port.
Further details
There is a maid service five days a week (monday to friday) and a resident gardener who maintains the garden and pool area. Personal laundery will be collected, washed, dried and ironed for a minimal charge.
English speaking representative located in Sao Bras who will be available to contact should you have any enquiries whilst staying at the villa.
House towels and linen are included. Please note beach and pool towels are not provided.

Please email any enquiries. A deposit will be required at the time of booking and full balance payment will be required 8 weeks in advance of arrival.
The change over day will be Thursday or Saturday. Departing the villa by 10am on that day. Arrival after 2pm would be preferred but of course this could be flexible.

August 2009 - We had a lovely holiday and thought the villa was charming and well equipped. We loved the views from the top bedrooms and really enjoyed eating and BBQing in the delightful courtyard, plus the weather couldn’t have been better for us. August 2009 - It was just brilliant thanks. Really superb villa and so easy to get to everything. Maid service was fantastic…didn’t want for anything..we’d deffo come back and recommend to anyone…
