Monte das Palmeiras in Corotelo near Sao Bras is one of the most stylish and spacious late 18th century farmhouses in the Algarve.
Beautifully converted and restored with a truly unique blend of charm and character. The house is very spacious; on two levels it can sleep 12.
This is an ideal spot for that family get together and as you are so well catered for, you may have no wish to leave during your stay. In a rural setting, high in the hills, it has lovely views over neighbouring Sao Bras and the surrounding area and is extremely peaceful.

The Algarve region
The Algarve is a wonderful place for a holiday at any time of the year. WIth beautiful countryside, fantastic beaches and sunshine nearly the whole year round.
Situated on the extreme South of Portugal, this part of the territory was the last to be conquered from the Moors by the Portuguese king in 1292. Traces of the Moorish presence are still seen in its unique architecture - terraces, chimneys and whitewashed houses.
However, the distance that was difficult to cover back in the 13th century is no longer an obstacle thanks to the modern Lisbon-Albufeira-Castro Marim road (IP1) or Faro international airport. So why not visit this charming region, with its idyllic temperatures which are ideal for playing golf and other sports. In the northern part of the Algarve, the hills of Espinhação de Cão, Monchique and Caldeirão shelter the coast from strong winds.
This brightly coloured region, with its fig trees, orange groves and almond trees in blossom, is also the most verdant and fertile. The southern coastline consists of a long stretch of fabulous sandy beaches, broken up by extraordinary rugged cliffs and fantastic grottoes.
Sao Bras de Alportel area
This part of Portugal is in common with Algarve as a whole. It was already known in Roman times. Through out the centuries Sao Bras was a well know and established region. A birthplace of Moorish poet Ibne Ammar, summer residence of the Bishop of Algarve as well as the major rout from Loule to Tavira. All the historacal changes have left their mark in the beautiful coulture and country side of this region.
You can visit some of the many beautiful churches in the area or visit the local markets held in various villages and towns in the area on different days. Within a short drive are wonderful beaches and costal resorts as well as many attractions such as water parks, aquariums etc. for children.
