The Algarve region
The algarve is a beautiful region, the weather is very good all the year and there are lots of long sandy beaches in the Algarve.
The villa is in the middle of the Algarve so you have the option of visiting new towns and beaches at any time.
Sao Bras de Alportel area
Snack/bar: "o cantinho" is at the corner of the street and is opened 6 days a week until 1 a.m. the "marrachinho" supermarket is in the perpendicular street to the house, the car is only useful to go to the beach (to which you can also go by bus - Very efficient public transport!), you can spend very good holidays staying in the city, without ever driving your car! the town has a large range of bakeries / pastry makings ("Café da Vila", "Avenida" which have the Algarve specialities: Almond pie, Dom Rodrigos, Toucinhos do Céu typically of the city, Torta Algarvia...) Do not leave town without visiting "The Ethnografic Museum of the Algarve's outfits" at the Casa Antonio Bentes, at S. Bras de Alportel; The fair of the "Serra" in July with the largest variety of regional specialities. How to get there
Fly to Faro- Our house is just 15 km from the airport. Cheap flights available from Easyjet.co.uk from Birmingham to Faro airport. Car hire available from www.autoeurope.com Local buses run regularly between Faro and the town. There are always local taxis available - fare should be no more than 20 euros.

Means of access All the information will be provided as of the booking, by the hirer out. S. Bras is limited in the north and in the east by Tavira's municipality, in the South-east by Olhão, in the south by Faro and in the west by Loulé. Spain is 40 km from S. Bras and Lisbon is 190 km from there.
Best points Sao Bras de Alportel is a city with an excellent quality of life between seaside and mountains with all the conviniences near and no need to take your car to move around in the city. The municipal swimming pool (two pools: one for children and one "divided" into two of one meter depth to five meters). Here, you will benefit from a wonderful micro-climate! Possibility of letting out bikes in town. Sao Bras is about 12.000 inhabitants.
