About the home

Quita Velha was completed 20 years ago from a old Portuguese farmhouse with all the modern features we have come to expect ,there are four bedrooms two with double beds and two with twin single beds all the bedrooms have on suite shower rooms or bathroom.

A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher cooker and two refrigerators and microwave.The lounge has a dining area and a breakfast bar, satellite TV and Hi Fi with I pod connections. The middle terrace has outside dining area with seating for eight guests with a moorish style barbecue.This terrace has stunning views over hills to the sea.The village of Mequita Alta is only 2 miles from Sao Bras with supermarkets and wonderful restaurants. Other towns local to the Villa are Tavira just 20 minutes drive and Loule the biggest market town with lots of shopping only 15 minutes away. Slighly further away are Lal do lobo Villamoura and Quinta do largo with all their golf courses and beaches. Spain can be reached by motorway in 30 minutes and Seville in 90 minutes.

A securing deposit of £250 is required at the time of booking. The balance to be paid 2 month prior to the holiday starting. Refunds of deposit due to cancellation can only be accepted if notice given 2 months prior to the holiday starting.

Conditions

We had a fantastic time at the villa, we all absolutely loved it . The extras additions to the last time we came are brilliant it was handy to have the internet wireless and the I pod connection got plenty of use
we would love to go back at some point in the future if it is free

The Algarve / East Algarve region

The Algarve is the most southerly part of Portugal well known for round the year sunshine the eastern Algarve offers stunning countryside and coastline. wonderful food and historic villages and towns.

The golf courses are popular all year round and the courses in the eastern section are not so crowded and cheaper than the ones in the central part of the Algarve. Mesquita Alta is idealy situated just outside Sao bras and only 10 minutes away from the motorway connecting to other areas of the Algarve and beyond.

It is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday away from the crowds but within easy reach by car of the main towns of the Algarve Villamoura: Val do Lobo etc

The Sao Bras de Alportel / Mesquita Alta area

Sao Bras is backed by mountains with wonderful views towards the sea,Sao bras is beautiful enough to take your breath away.Its laid back atmosphere and wonderful restaurants make it the perfect place for a holiday.
Local cuisine makes good use of herbs which grow locally,this brings in locals and holiday makers from further afield to eat in Sao Bras.

Visit the weekly Saturday market and stock up with all the local products and produce.Call in the main square and enjoy a coffee in one one the many bars watch the world go by.

The street are lined with white houses with tiled facias going back centuries ornate stonework and cast iron verandas.There will be cork products as Sao Bras was one of the largest producers of cork in the Algarve.

Maps and driving instructions to Quita Velha will be given on booking. The villa is 15 miles and about 20 minutes from Faro airport .The roads are all clearly marked. Faro Airport is served by BA TAP and most budget airlines

The maid will provide keys etc on arrival.
The maid will change bed linen towels and clean the villa once a week.
