Situated in the rural village of Calcada, a suburb of Sao Bras (Pronounced: Serng Bras) this charming farmhouse is one of only two separate self contained units, with very well developed gardens with plenty of privacy, a large outdoor salt-water pool ( not chlorinated ) 26ft x 13ft with large Patio areas.
The Quinta is only 5 minutes walk from the Village of Sao Bras, where you can find plenty of excellent and inexpensive Restaurants, Bars, Shops, etc. The beautiful market towns of Loule and Tavira are only 15 minutes away. Several Beaches and Golf Courses are all within 20 minutes drive. Quinta da Horta is ideally suited to anyone who requires a relaxing holiday, in beautiful surroundings.

The Algarve / East Algarve region
The Algarve is renowned for it's year-round warm climate and clean sandy beaches. Also, the Algarve boasts some of the very best Golf Courses in the World. Quinta da Horta welcomes golfers through-out the year and especially in January, February and March. Discounts are available for 6 persons, booking at the same time.
Sao Bras de Alportel / Calcada area
Calcada is situated next to Sao Bras de Alportel and is only 5 minutes walk away, where you will find lots of good restaurants, bars and shops.There are many festivals in the Algarve and there are usually 5 or 6 throughout the year in Sao Bras.
Loule is only 10 minutes drive away, where there are many shops and great restaurants/bars etc. Loule also hosts the Gypsy Market every Saturday, where you can buy items of clothing, shoes, gifts etc and barter your way to a great deal with the stall holders.
The newly refurbished Loule Market and Castle, are a must to visit, you will not be disappointed ! Other places of interest are:- Zoo Marine - 30 minutes away, Aqualand - 20 mins, Villamoura Harbour 25 mins, Seville 2 hours and of course, many fine Golf Courses within 30 minutes drive.
How to get there
- Fly to Faro, Quinta da Horta is less than 20 minutes from the airport - Cheap flights are available from EasyJet, Monarch, BMI Baby, Thomson's, amongst others - Car hire is available through a number of providers, though we recommend WWW.nicetriprentacar and if you book with us, we will provide a car booking reference that entitles you to a discount from normal rates. Alternately, we can arrange for you to be collected from the Airport by private hire car ( cheaper than Airport Taxis ) and transferred here.

Further details indoors: Our 1 bedroom Farmhouse is situated adjacent to the Pool, Garden, Patio and BBQ with separate access from the bedroom also. It is ideally suited to a couple, although there is room for a third person/child. There is no extra charge for the 3rd person.
The Farmhouse retains all the character and charm of the original Farm, ( including the original built-in Bread Oven ) but with the modern appliances and facilities to ensure your comfort.
Further details outdoors: We have a large Barbecue in the Old Pig Sty, which is adjacent the Pool and Garden.
The delightful Garden is planted with many unusual plants, trees and shrubs, that fill the air with colour and fragrance the year round.

The Garden is shared and maintained by the owners, who live in a 3rd Villa on the site. ( English Speaking ) A Welcome Pack is provided free of charge, which includes some essential items, on your arrival.
