It lies on the road to Ancient Thira at the base of Mesa Vouno Mountain, under the protection of Katefiani monastery. 500 meters away is the black volcanic beach of Perissa. The large fresh water swimming pool with Jacuzzi jet streams is surrounded by high walls for absolute privacy. Surrounding the Villa flowers & olive trees create a relaxing environment.

This apartment accommodates up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms plus living room & kitchen with wall to wall furnishings. It also boasts a balcony with spectacular views. Prices include breakfast served in your apartment or by the pool.

'The Birds Villa' lies 500 metres from the beach in Perissa, one of the most popular seaside villages in Santorini. The coastline is endless, & during summer time, Perissa & Perivolos Beach (neighbouring areas) offer water sports, sun, sea & surf. There is a local bus service that connects to Fira town, Santorini Island capital.

The Aegean Islands region

The Cyclades islands are a group of islands of varying sizes scattered over the deep blue waters of the Aegen sea.
Some of them are well-known both to the public at large and the international 'jet-set', while others remain little known and scarcely figure on the tourist scene. taken as a whole, they make ideal holiday destination for visitors of the varied tastes.
A fusion of stone, sunlight and sparkling sea, the Cyclades lie to the east of the Peloponnese and south-east of the coast of Attica; they stretch as far as Samos and Ikaria to the east, and are bounded to the south by the Cretan Sea.
According to the most likely tradition, they owe their name to the notional circle which they appear to form around the sacred isle of Delos.
The Cyclades have exercised a powerful charm since ancient times, even though access to them was not particularly easy.
This was the birthplace of one of the Mediterranean's most important civilizations, one which took its name from the islands: the Cyclades civilisation (3000-1000 BC).
The Cycladic islands enjoy a Mediterranean climate, with an average temperature for the year of 18 - 19 oC.
The winters are mild and the summers - by Greek standards - cool, thanks to the beneficial effects of the seasonal winds known as the 'meltemia'.
The Cyclades gather approximately the 60% of the tourists coming to Greece each year. Take a look at the islands and you will find out why.

Santorini / Perissa area

Santorini lies at the south end of the prefecture of Cyclades islands in a distance of 128 miles from the port of Piraues. The area of the island is 75 square Km and its population 7.328 people (1981 census).
Santorini can be reached by air from Athens with two flights per day or by ferry from Piraues with frequent departures through the year. During the summer period there are additional flights between Santorini and other islands, and charter flights from abroad. There are also nautical connections between Santorini and many other Cyclades islands, Dodecanesse, Crete and Thessaloniki. Local boats take the island visitors for daily cruises to the volcano and to the nearby island Thirasia.

Once you arrive in Greece you can take a ferry to Santorini from Athens or fly. From countries like UK you can fly direct to the island.
