Tranquility, relaxed luxury, and a uniquely personal connection to the organic natural beauty and hospitality of Santorini await you at Caldera Eco Retreat Villa (VI) Volcano SeaView. The extremely private setting is pure paradise: Perched within a 1 hectare private vineyard on the edge of the caldera cliffs just outside of a quiet traditional Santorini village, with endless views of the deep blue Aegean sea and nearby volcanoes. Combined with the rich homemade breakfast and other personal touches offered to each guest daily, you will surely fall in love with the place and call it your second home in paradise.

Caldera Eco Retreat Villa (VI) Volcano SeaViewis all about the stunning volcano views and laid-back luxury for a “home away from home” feeling. Surrounded by our own beautiful organic gardens, the house's elevated position offers views found only in dreams. The large 30 square meter private terrace has a breathtaking 180 degree view of the caldera cliffs, the nearby islands draped in endless blue sea and sky and the little white houses of Oia built into the cliffs in the far distance. The generous painted wood dining table under a cool, shady pergola is the perfect setting to enjoy your breakfast, savor the sunset colors or bask in the Greek sunlight in the sunbeds.

The architect-designed interiors are filled with Cycladic tradition and character. Each window has a stunning caldera sea view. The rooms are comfortable, cheerful and bright, with rich natural woods, light plaster walls, barrel vaulted ceilings and handmade tiles. The collection of family heirloom antiques, locally-produced traditional furniture and original works of art bring a unique and family-style charm to the house.

The open-plan living room, kitchenette and dining room has all the little details to make you feel right at home. You will find a delightful surprise on the small balcony from the Living Room, with more views directly facing the volcano. From here you can see all of Santorini's caldera. The cozy kitchenette is fully equipped with refrigerator, cooking hobbs, small oven, small convenience appliances, cookware, china and cutlery.

The private bedroom has a charming queen size antique wooden bed and ensuite bathroom. There are also two very comfortable sofa beds in the Living Room. The bathroom is simple and elegant, with fine plaster rich tones and hand-formed built-in showers.

With direct onsite parking, the house is unlike most other caldera accommodations. Many of the houses located on the caldera cliffs do not have direct parking and must be accessed by climbing many steps on a footpath, a difficult prospect for weary travelers. You will appreciate the private parking just a few easy steps away from your door, with no stairs to climb.

Caldera Eco Retreat Villa (VI) Volcano SeaViewis perfect for families or friends who are looking for a genuine and relaxing retreat focused on the natural beauty of Santorini, away from the hustle and bustle of crowds. Up to four guests can sleep comfortably.

We take great care to provide extra special touches for each guest with true Greek hospitality. Every morning we serve a delicious full breakfast either in your own house or on the large shared terrace directly on the caldera with organic fruits and vegetables from our own gardens, homemade pies and cakes, freshly baked bread, our own home made marmalades and a variety of delicious salty and sweet flavors that change daily! When you arrive, you will be delighted with our warm welcome, which includes a rich delicious meze variety with local and traditional flavors, always accompanied by ice cold Raki or chilled wine. Just when you think it can't get any better, you will be dazzled by our home made refreshments, our home made Sangria, our refreshing freshly baked pastries and by many more local gourmet surprises that will be offered to you at each sunset!

If you are lucky enough to visit us during the period of the wine harvest in mid-August, known as “Vedema”, you can experience the process of making your own organic wine. During this time, we harvest the grapes from our own private vineyard surrounding the property. This is a festive period with strong Santorini traditions. You can stomp the grapes by foot, an amazing sensation accompanied by traditional songs and sounds! Of course such a fiesta always comes with a savory variety of local snacks and with our own chilled wine or Raki!

After a day of exploring the island, you will always be glad to return to your house to experience the famous Santorini sunset.

We are here for you from the moment you arrive in Santorini until the moment you depart again. We will guide you with every detail to make your holiday unique and perfect for you. From car rentals, luxury caldera cruises and excursions, local tours, local cuisine, sea and land sports, spas, wineries or any other desire, your perfect holiday in Santorini awaits.

Megalochori is an undiscovered gem, peacefully removed from the busier villages filled with tourists just minutes away. Nearby the house, you can find footpaths along the caldera leading down to hidden chapels and a beach that even the locals rarely access. In the glorious natural landscape all around, you can gaze at the distant bright green vineyards that are producing grapes for Santorini's famous wines, dotted with tiny whitewashed churches.

The traditional village of Megalochori is one of Santorini's last authentic traditional villages, largely unchanged by the effects of time and tourism that you find elsewhere on the island. Narrow roads and footpaths, sprinkled with brilliant flowers, meander past whitewashed traditional houses and under lacey Venetian bell towers. In the lovely cobblestone village square, you can enjoy a quiet lunch or coffee at a local taverna, shaded by the vine covered pergola and a grand old eucalyptus tree, as the church bells toll each hour. You can pass the evenings here with dinner or cocktails accompanied by live traditional Greek music played by local musicians. Be sure not to miss making a visit to taste the famous wines produced at the local wineries in the village.

After a day of exploring the island, you will always be glad to return to your house to experience the famous Santorini sunset.
