About the home

Santa Monica, is one of the oldest farmhouses in Menorca, with wonderful atmosphere. Ideal for family , large pool, and lots of garden/land to explore. It is nice to get away from seaside villa developements, although,a very nice walk to beach, best beach bar, and shops.

Beautiful, modernised, spacious, cool, farmhouse, with original features, in 5 acres, large terraces, pool, bbq ,very quiet, and easy living.wonderful views, and great walks.

Large airy bedrooms.No T.V. or music device. people bring their own. Overall effect is peace, and space. Good for walks, and birdwatching, and children collecting beetles.Special requirements, can be organised by our house manager.

The Menorca region

Santa Monica, is well positioned to have views across the island and sea to Majorca, with mountains in the distance. Facing south and west we get the best weather, and sunsets. The area around us is unspoilt country, with great walks to canyons, beaches, farm land, and one of the nicest villages, es Migjorn, with restaurants and bars. The beach has the best beach bar, and very family friendly. The beaches, about 5 of them, some undeveloped, are sandy and wonderful for swimming. Chemists ,doctors, supermarkets, shops, all available. The island has much to see. The coast is protected so there is no coast road, all the seaside resorts are self contained, and the old towns are much the same and full of character. The country side is as it has been for centuries.

The Santo Thomas / Es Migjorn area

Menorca, has a lot of 'stonehenge' type ruins, called Tayllots, we have one in our field! Cuitadella, the old capital, and port,is very historic, and great restaurants, around the harbour.So Mahon, one of the largest natural harbours in the world, also has many bars and restaurants, and you can hire boats, and take glass bottom boat rides. Both towns have great shopping, as Menorca is famous for, shoes, leather, and jewellrey. All sports can be found quite close.Tennis courts, in village and seaside.,

Many flights from UK direct, both charter and schedule. More in season from May to october. Flights from other european cities, more variable, but easily reached via, Barcelona, Madrid etc. As very close to village, Taxis and Bus service easy. Can walk to beach and village 25 mins. Car hire available from airport, or Taxi, 20 mins. Car also from St. Tomas.Can reach anywhere on the Island within 30 minutes. Also Ferries from Spain, and Majorca, can include cars.
