About the home

Ca na Maria, sitting room, kitchen sun room. There bedrooms, two with double beds (one has en suite bathroom) and one bedroom with twin singles. Bathroom. Air conditioning in bedrooms. Central heating throughout the house.

Outside: Private swimming pool (10m x 5m) with roman steps and extenside sun terrace . Poolside shower. Shower room.

The villa is just to rent from Saturday to Saturday. Other arrials and departures should be asked.
you have to leave thevilla at 10.00 a.m. you can get into villa al 16.00 pm.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

This south-east corner of Mallorca is a most interesting area to explore, privileged as it is to some unpretentious little towns, unspoilt countryside and many beautiful coves of white sand and translucent waters. Nearby S´Amarador is one classic example of the latter; however within a 20 minute drive you will find several other similar beaches such as S´Almonia and Cala Llombards. A 10 minute drive takes you to the market town of Santanyí where all amenities, wich include three further local restaurants, can be found.

The Santanyi area

Santanyi " Santi Anini" the holy lamb, was the name the Romans gave to the settlement founded during the Talayot culture in the southeast of Mallorca. This comunity, which was burnt down by pirates in 1513, is now famous among the whole island because of its almond and sandstone trade.
The visitors coming from Palma first reaches the last part of the ol town boundary, the "Porta Murada" Walking through the gate on the right, one arrives at the market square.The market takes place on Wednesday and Saturday.The town hall located on the market square. The church of Santanyi known all over Spain, is the pride of the town, the church organ built by J. Bosch is precious example of Spanish organ building. Leaving the market square on th left hand of the church, in the direction of Cala Figuera, you can find on your right the municipal fountain, from which those who don`t have drinking-water for not being connected with Water Service, can still ge some. In Santan yi there is a Post-Office with a telegram service, a Police Station, a Medical Centre a veterinary, a n otary, a school of music, a library a day nursery and several banks.
.la Figuera With no doubt Cala Figuera is the most impressive harbour of Majorca . It is posible to watch fishermen at work. Sole, scampi, hake and many more fishes can be had for dinner at many of the local restaurants.

“Maria's House is a very very very nice house” A week wasn't long enough. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped villa,helping make our stay a thoroughly enjoyable one. Location ideal, in the country side,and only 15 minute leisurely walk to pretty Cala Fiquera. Difficult to tear our selves away from the welcoming pool area, again very well kept and well lit for a late evening swim. BBQ area brilliant for Al Fresco eating, however natural tree and beautiful bouganvillia canopy somewhat overgrown, in need of a good trim. A little gem of a place, can't wait till next year.
