A charming old village house in a small village near Santanyi. Bright and spacious, this stylish house has been tastefully restored in a traditional Mallorcan style. There are 3 good sized bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 people.
The house is nestled in the centre of the village, surrounded by other houses with beautiful higgledy-piggledy roofs and natural sandstone walls. it is just a few minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. The village itself is very quiet and tranquil but is a wonderful base for summer holidays near to the sea. The stunning coastline and charming surrounding towns and villages offer a wide range of things to see and do throughout the year.

The house has three bedrooms and is furnished in a simple, traditional rustic style. It offers a a charming and tranquil base during your stay on this beautiful island. The layout is spacious and has an open-plan feel.
Living area: there is a large open plan living room with TV (English and German channels) and DVD player.There is a woodburning stove that heats the downstairs areas in the winter. The open stone stairs lead up to a a glass atrium that allows light to flood in. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a gas oven and hob and a dishwasher. There are large doors from the kitchen that open onto a small courtyard at the front of the house with a small table and chairs, perfect for a leisurely breakfast. The dining area can seat 6 people and is located at the back of the house with double doors opening onto the main garden.
Bedrooms: Each of the three bedrooms (two double and one twin) has been simply decorated in keeping with the traditional feel of the rest of the house. The master bedroom is downstairs and has its own en suite bathroom with a bath and shower. Upstairs there is one double and one twin bedroom, which share a shower room and laundry with washing machine.
We also have a separate two bedroom house that sleeps 4 guests. Please ask for details if you are interested in renting this house separately, or perhaps both houses together (to sleep up to 10 people). The two bedroom house is advertised on the Holiday Lettings website reference: 341549.

At the front of the house there is a shady courtyard area.
At the rear of the house, the Mediterranean garden is sunny and secluded and has a lovely private swimming pool (3.5m x 5m). There is a large patio with a dining table and a pretty covered terrace with a built in barbeque.
There is unrestricted parking on the road outside the house on a quiet country lane.
The Mallorca/Majorca region
Mallorca is the largest of the three main Balearic Islands. It is a beautiful island full of contrasts and has been undergoing a revival over the last 25 years. The island has re-established itself as a destination rich in culture, offering visitors a diverse choice of unspoilt beaches, bustling towns and breathtaking scenery.
The south east of the island is a particularly beautiful area with stunning coastal scenery dotted with numerous small coves and beaches. This calm and tranquil area is a great place to visit with a family, with friends or as a couple. The east coast is famous for its wonderful beaches. The heritage protected beach and salt lakes of Es Trenc are reminiscent of the Caribbean, and the array of smaller calas (beaches) along the coast line offer a fantastic choice of days out.
The tranquil inland areas have many beautiful traditional towns. The Santanyi region is fast evolving into one of the most exclusive in the South of Mallorca, boasting some beautiful towns and villages. The cosmopolitan town of Santanyi itself, with its bustling street market and shops, lively Felanitx and busy Cala d'Or are all close by. Great cuisine is never far away. The inland villages and towns offers interesting and unique restaurants serving locally sourced ingredients. Or head to the coast for harbourside restaurants serving freshly caught seafood.
The house is in the centre of the small village of Es Llombards. Es Llombards itself is a charming little village located near to the town of Santanyi. The village has two restaurants, two small local bars, a nice bakery and a weekly market on Thursdays, all within a short walk of the house.
The village is surrounded by open countryside and one of it's best features is the proximity of so many great beaches. The beaches at Cala Llombards and Cala S'Almunia are about 2 miles (3km) away and the beautiful beaches of Cala Santanyi, Cala Moro, Cala Mondrago and Es Trenc are also all nearby. These small, secluded coves are some of the best and most unspoiled beaches on the island and are perfect for swimming, snorkelling or sunbathing. There are also spectacular walks along this most beautiful stretch of coastline. The surrounding countryside is great for bird watching and for enjoying nature.
The small town of Santanyi is about 2 miles (3 km) away. Es Llombards and Santanyi both get their distinctive character from the beautiful local sandstone from which their buildings are constructed (and which was also used to build Palma cathedral). Santanyi is a lovely town with a variety of restaurants, bars and nice shops. It has a large artistic community with several local galleries and art spaces. The town's market has a lovely atmosphere with a wide variety of stalls selling food, clothes, arts and crafts and other goods. It is open on Saturday and Wednesday mornings throughout the year.
