A well appointed apartment ideal for the family or couple wanting a quiet holiday away from the larger resorts but close to all amenities in a beautiful sunny area of South East Mallorca. Set in a good position, an easy walk to the superb fine sand beach of Cala Santanyi with it's bars, cafe, restaurant, shops, sunbeds and pedalos for hire ( May to October ).
Mallorca is all about outside living and the two large covered terraces enjoy cooling sea breezes and provide lots of private space to laze in the shade. The outside terrace areas are great for alfresco dining on an evening or enjoying breakfast on your own large private sunny bedroom terrace.The apartment is spacious, with a large through lounge/dining room with 3 comfortable sofa's and both bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes and drawers provided.

Attractive landscaped grounds with established palms and tropical plants surround this lovely quiet complex of apartments bordering onto a natural area.
A private garden area leads onto the large sunbathing area ( sun beds and shades provided ) around an attractive outdoor pool which gets sun all day. The large swimming pool is good for young children with safe steps down to a shallow end and a good swimming area for children and adults.You will never need to get up early to reserve your sun bed at this apartment.

The fine town of Santanyi is only 2 miles down a quiet country lane and has a fantastic market twice a week.
Santanyi is a real all year round Mallorcan town and provides a good supermarket, continental shops, bars and restaurants even during the winter period unlike some resorts which cater only for tourists in the summer, however don't expect to find any English cafes or pubs in Santanyi.

The Apartment is within 10 minutes drive of the Parc Naturale de Mondrago with it's amazing white sands and crystal clear azure sea for swimming and snorkling in a perfect natural setting.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

Mallorca has a wonderful climate with 300+ days of sun a year and mild winters.
The island has over 70 good sand beaches and warm calm clear blue seas.
Many of these beaches have the Europeon blue flag status, Cala Santanyi is a blue flag beach with very clear water in a natural area away from major development.

South East Mallorca is famous for it's Cala's ( Rocky Sheltered Inlets ) these have clear warm waters, they are secluded and super for swimming and diving.

Cala Santanyi is one of the best chill out beaches in the south of the island.

The apartment is close to Mallorcas best beaches, reached by a short drive down winding country roads bordered by stone walls and lovely stone houses.

The Santanyi area boasts many natural beaches and close by you can find the livelier resort of Cala D'Or.

To the north of the island about an hour by car you will find lovely mountain ranges and superb coastal scenary and pretty towns like Valldemossa, Soller and Pollenca.

Soller is a good day out by car, a fantastic drive through the mountains or by the steam railway from Palma.
On reaching Soller ,( a lovely town surrounded by mountain views) you can catch the old tram ride to Port of Soller (seaside town ) on the West coast or just sit out in the old town square and have a drink or a meal and soak in the unique atmosphere.

Mallorca's Capital City, Palma is well worth a visit with it's fine Cathedral on the waterfront, the Castle Bellver with fantastic views over the Bay of Palma and of course lots of good shopping in the old streets.


Santanyi / Cala Santanyi area

Santanyi provides a good supermarket and good provision stores..

All the buildings in Santanyi are built from the local sandstone and the town dates from 1300.
The town square full of bars, cafes and restaurants is dominated by a wonderful church with a famous old organ which is sometimes played during summer market times.

The great outside market takes place all year round on Wednesday and Saturday mornings in the lovely town square and surrounding narrow streets.

Santanyi is far removed from a typical British tourist resort but it provides locals and visitors with lovely boutiques, art galleries, ceramic workshops, antique and craft shops in a typical traditional Spanish village setting.

Cala Santanyi has a superb sand beach with all facilities provided including a free car park and bus service to Palma. A land train runs from the beach to Cala Figuera in the summer months.
Scuba Diving lessons are run from the beach at Cala Santanyi from May to October.
Cycles can be hired from the Hotel Cala Santanyi near the beach.

The famous fishing village of Cala Figuera is 2 miles away with lots of good restaurants to dine out at the harbour side and a glass bottom boat operates from here, touring up the stunning east coast in the summer.

The nearest Golf course to Cala Santanyi is only 20 minutes drive ( www.valldorgolf.com ) with lovely views down to the coast.

A large Botanical Cactus Garden is open to the public within a 20 minutes drive.

The Family Water Park at S'Arenal is within a 30 minute drive and is great to take the children on a hot day.

Superb undergound caves can also be visited further north on the East coast at Porto Cristo.

Lovely apartment extremely well furnished and equipped, larger than we expected.
Excellent area for a lovely quiet break but near enough to shops/restaurants etc.
We were so busy visiting beaches that we didn't actually use the apartment pool but it looked fine.
The weather just got better and better and it was 30c when we left Mallorca.

We arrived home yesterday after a really lovely week at your place.
The weather was perfect all week. The apartment was lovely, a real home from home, very peaceful and relaxing.The kitchen was really thoughtfully equipped, it is the little thoughtful touches that make for a relaxing holiday.
We really enjoyed the Santanyi Market on the Wednesday morning.
Loved Cala Santanyi, exploring all the rocks and cliffs on both sides of the Cala, especially Es Ponta, the rocky bridge, spectacular!
We went to Mondrago Natural Park and did both walks there, the wildlife was wonderful in the peaceful woods, even saw a tortoise wandering along the path.
We visited Cala D'or but couldn't wait to return to Santanyi and had a meal at a lovely restaurant in Santanyi Town Square near the Church.
All in all a brilliant holiday, we'll be booking next year and definitely will recommend you to our friends.
