The Santa Ponsa / Costa de la Calma area
Santa Ponsa is a beautiful beach town with all the facilities. A car is not needed if you are looking for a relaxing holiday, delightful food at good prices, and good (not wild but lively) night-life with many terraces, live music and entertainment.
Santa Ponsa es un bonito pueblo costero con todas las comodidades. Si están buscando unas vacaciones para relajarse y descansar, disfrutar de buena comida a buen precio y buen ambiente nocturno (animado sin ser salvaje) con cantidad de terracitas, música en vivo y entretenimiento Santa Ponsa es el lugar perfecto. El uso del coche no es necesario, se puede acceder a toda la localidad a pie desde el apartamento y conocer la ciudad y los pueblos vecino con el autobús. Si desea conocer a fondo la isla, sí es recomendable un coche para poder llegar a los lugares más recónditos.

Santa Ponsa is only 22 Km away from Palma de Mallorca, capital city of the island of Mallorca.
You can access Santa Ponsa by taxi (around 39€ from the airport)
By car: Take MA20 towards Andratx and take Santa Ponsa exit. To get to the apartment, take the exit after Santa Ponsa (named Costa de la Calma). At the roundabout carry on straight (Costa de la calma). Follow the road (Avinguda del mar) and turn left when you see a shop with a white and blue sign "Saneamientos Melero" for calle des centre. You'll see the apartments at the end of the road. The building name is Bouganvillia.
By bus: Take bus no 104 from Plaza de España in Palma de Mallorca and step out in Costa de la Calma stop. You'll see the apartments at the other side of the road.
You can also take the faster bus nº 102 that leaves you at the main roundabout in Santa Ponsa and walk or take a short taxi ride to the apartment.
Cómo llegar:
Santa Ponsa está a tan solo 22 Km de la capital Palma de Mallorca
Se puede llegar en taxi: (unos 39€ por trayecto desde el aeropuerto)
En coche: Tomar la MA 20 hacia Andratx y salir por la salida “Santa Ponsa”. Para llegar al apartamento es más sencillo salir por la siguente “Costa de la Calma”. En la rotonda continuar recto por la “Avinguda del Mar” y girar a la izquierda en C/Centre . Verá el edificio al final de la calle.
En autobús: Tome el autobús 104 desde Plaza de España. Éste autobús para justo en la puerta trasera del edificio. También puede coger el autobús 102 (es más rápido) que le dejaría en la rotonda principal de Santa Ponsa, al lado de la playa, y caminar o hacer un pequeño trayecto de taxi hasta el apartamento.

The Advert was advertised with the following Swimming pool-this was stagnant with green water and was not in use Play areas-although not needed was overgrown Mini golf-not in use and overgrown with plants and rubbish Internet-this was not provided the machines were switched off and wrapped in plastic Staffed property-not the case as we were possibly the only people in the entire complex Next to a cover-over 10 minutes walk down a dirt track Main beach- 25 minutes walk Snooker table-not in use Off road parking-only on the street Evening shows-complex closed Sun bathing area-complex closed Refreshments-complex closed Vending machines-complex closed Pool bar-complex closed Studio states dining for 4-not the case Shower head would not stay fixed to bracket Drains smelt in the studio The fridge made a constant noise which made sleeping difficult TV channels poor I cannot tell you enough how disappointed we are with the studio and the false information on the facilities sold to us. My girlfriend was also frightened as being the only people in the complex she felt vulnerable. We had no alternative than to stay somewhere else for 4 days which was at a considerable cost to us. I believe the price we paid for the studio does not reflect the true value. Response: Dear Guest, I just want to say how sorry I am to hear this, I just wish you had say something when we talked during your stay, even if there are things I couldn't have changed (pool is closed in cold seasons and during low season is really quiet everywhere) there are other things I would have tried to solve (i.e. there is seating for four people, extra folding chairs are behind the sofa,etc.). I want to thank you for your review because with it I will make sure that I improve any faults that there might be and make a better experience to any future guests. I stayed at the apartment with my mom for almost a week and had an amazing time! The flat is really cute and cozy with all the necessary amenities. The balcony has beautiful views and is great for a chill-out in the evening.The flat is close to a small beach with beautiful coves, which is great for snorkelling, although there are no corals as such, the amount of fish around makes up for it.The main beach in Santa Ponsa is about 10-15 min walk away, which is a pleasant walk with lots of shops and restaurants. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Eva, who couldn't have done more to ensure that we have a great time and her parents are the loveliest people you'll ever meet!! |
