Everybody comments so don't underestimate it. THE VIEW from the apartment. is as impressive a sea view as you're likely to find on the coast.

The apartment is spaciously arranged and comfortably furnished. We want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive so you'll find all facilities ready and waiting when you arrive, beds made up and a food and drink starter pack to get you going. The accommodation consists of lounge/diner (with double bed settee), kitchen, large double bedroom with one double bed, bathroom with bath (shower over), toilet, washbasin and bidet. Outside is a patio for relaxing at home after a long hard day on the beach. There is a washing machine, television, DVD player plus a large and constantly updated selection of films available for your use.

This is primarily our family holiday home but we have been happy to offer its facilities to guests for many years.

We keep the charges low by asking only conciencious people to apply.

We operate a constant updating and improvement policy to ensure the accommodation is comfortable for us so you can be confident of the quality you can expect.

You'll read it elsewhere in this advert but we really can't stop talking about the view. You will not better it elsewhere. If you want a place to just sit and relax, then the terrace at Villa Palacios simply cannot be beaten.

Built in 1986, the apartment is in a small purpose built block with ample parking space, set back well above the road. Various routes either stepped or by road, lead you to the promenade and the rocky coastline below known as the Calas de Santa Pola del Este.We like people to be aware that if you take the stepped route there are approximately 150 steps down (and hence UP) so if you're planning on walking all your holiday then a pending hip replacement might be a problem!

To satisfy continued demand we have now decided to include linen and towels in alll bookings. Although this has meant a small increase in our charges we are sure we still offer the most competitive rental rates available and now we can be sure that all guest will arrive to a fully equipped and ready to enjoy experience.

The Valenciana region

To the south the the town and port of Torreveija, more well known with the English, offers nightlife and other features to be expected of the more commercialised Spanish coastal resorts. Torreveija is probably the first time you will notice English being commonly spoken. Just 4km off shore to the East of Santa Pola del Este is the island of Tabarca. This Moorish settlement is virtually unspoilt and can be visited via regular ferry crossings from Santa Pola Port. If you wish to travel further afield then a drive through the mountains north to Benidorm is worthwhile (approx 65km). The coast road gives some spectacular views but if you’re in a hurry (can’t imagine why!) the Auto via (motorway) runs from near the airport and gets you there in under 45 minutes. Benidorm is renown for its excellent beaches, visit the old town and if you’re really adventurous then visit the Terra Mittica theme park. A short drive from Benidorm is the walled mountain encampment of Guadalest and the spectacular waterfalls, the Fonts de Algar where you can bathe in the freezing cold spring waters if you dare. There are several exciting water parks nearby, the busiest being at Benidorm and Torreveija whilst the smallest, nearest and quietest is at Rojales where queuing is rare. Santa Pola boasts it’s own Pola Park (amusements and rides) and also nearby is the Rio Safari (Spanish Zoo). The beaches within Santa Pola during high season are adorned with floating rafts for the adventurous swimmer and pedalo’s and jet ski’s are for hire.

Santa Pola

Santa Pola del Este offers peace and tranquillity being sensibly developed with a mixture of low rise apartment blocks and, on the front, luxurious private villas. Below the apartment a rocky coastline can be followed along the palm lined 7km promenade, past the playa del Varadero (delightful for swimming) and the Cales de Santiago Bernabeu (popular with sunbathers) into Santa Pola Town itself. The area is very quiet and be warned, if dancing until 6am is for you, read no further.

The town of Santa Pola offers delightful beaches, quiet bars and has the unique distinction of being the most important fishing port on the Spanish coast. It has daily fruit and vegetable markets and twice weekly street markets which present ideal shopping opportunities. On the return of the fishing fleet, normally daily at around 5.30pm, a spectacular array and variety of seafood is available to purchase on the quay or to sample in the many regionally renowned seafood restaurants at very reasonable prices. Combine your evening visit with a wander around the Moroccan Street Market with its colourful stalls and negotiate yourself a bargain.

Moving around the coast northwards a rough road follows the coast and many secluded beaches to Gran Alicant and Los Arenales. Of particular interest on route are the Carabassi dunes that give access to one of the nicest beaches around with its sandy shore and warm shallow waters. Strong thermal currents in the lea of the hills behind the Carabassi dunes make it an area much frequented by Para gliders.

Santa Pola del Este is an ideal base for those wishing to explore. The regional capital, Alicante, is approx. 30 minutes drive to the north and offers excellent shops and some very interesting architecture. The inland town of Elche to the west boasts the largest palm forests in Europe.

"Chilled out beach holiday with plenty of sun and seafood."

Lovely chilled out place with lots of different beaches. The location of the apartment is very quiet which was just what we wanted and very Spanish. The food was delicious and people were very friendly. This was the perfect relaxing holiday we wanted :o)
