There are also a variety of grottoes and caves that provide a fascinating alternative as well as simply enjoying historic villages dotted about rugged hillsides where the tourists are few and far between

Santa Maria di Castellabate

The village of santa Maria di castellabate is siutated in the beautiful and unspoilt Cilento coastline which in turn lies in the Parco Nazionale del Cilento a national parkland reserve which stretches along the coast and inland to the hills of Vallo di Diano. Offering a wonderful combination of wide sandy bays, rocky coves , verdant hillside and natural flora and fauna. "Absolutely Lovely"

We stayed at this apartment for my sons wedding. It was very spacious and clean.
The view from the apartment was fabulous we could not have asked for better.
The second bathroom did lose water supply for several days but did not affect us too much as we were so pleased with the situation of the apartment. You are very close to everything bars, shops and beaches.
We will definately be returning in the next few years.
The other good thing is the prices in the bars and restaurants. You can eat pizza or pasta for around 7 euros and a beer or wine is about 3 euros
