The Sardinia region
Pula still has a beautiful center. In Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the Museo Giovanni Patroni, archaeological museum which houses relics from Nora. In the church of San Giovanni Battista (XIX century), in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, are of marble sarcophagi, one of which contains the remains of a duchess Cagliari. Not far away is the Piazza del Popolo. On the way to Nora meets the aristocratic Villa Santa Maria, designed by architect Gaetano Cima in the first half of the nineteenth century on the ruins of the ancient church of the same name.
In promontory of Capo di Pula stand the ruins of the ancient city founded by the Phoenicians, who in all probability is the first and most important center on the island.
Very important is the lagoon of Nora, near which arose recently the Environmental Education Center, the aquarium and a series of tanks with the most representative species of marine lagoon ecosystem.
Santa Margherita di Pula
The beach is made ??up grains of sand gray with shades of pink, while the water is shallow, ideal for families with children. The area is windy, it is suitable and popular with surfers and those who practice fishing or simply for those who want to immerse themselves in order to admire the seabed.
It has many facilities, is wheelchair accessible, has a large car park suitable for campers; There are hotels, bars, restaurants, and you can rent beach umbrellas, beach chairs and pedal boats.
