We loved staying at The Pines as it was a welcome change from the usual cramped accommodation found on package holidays. The apartment was large and airy and tastefully decorated. The extensive patio and sun terrace had ample room to dine alfresco and overlooked the lovely pool area which was beautifully planted and well tended. It's a short stroll to the local Cala Pada beach, which is one of the nicest in the area with a selection of good restaurants that overlook the beach.

The Ibiza region

Cala Pada is exactly half-way between Santa Eulalia and Es Cana - about 1.5km to each. You can get there by taxi (approx 3 to 5 Euros), by Bus (every half hour) or to Santa Eulalia by ferry from the beach.

There are lovely coastal walks to both.

There are tours of the local parts of the island by coach and "road train" from Es Cana and if you decide to hire a car from one of the local hire companies for a few days, the rest of the island is absolutely spectacular.

Santa Eulalia del Rio

Cala Pada beach is popular with families and has 200m of fine, pale sand and shallow water. The beach has sunbeds and umbrellas, winsurfers, catamarans and kayaks for hire plus watersport and scuba diving schools. There are 2 fish restaurants and 1 bar on the beach with another 5 or 6 restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

Santa Eulalia is a bustling, Spanish town with a beautiful beach, large marina, long promenade and a wide variety of shops, restaurants and bars - banks and cash machines are also available here.

Es Cana is a typically English, family oriented resort with lots to do throughout the day or in the evening.

"A fantastic place"

We stayed at the pines with our 4 year old daughter and loved it. The apartment was spotless and really comfortable. We were only a few minutes walk from the beach which had shallow water for paddling… More

"A lovely apartment"

The accommodation is great. Everything is very clean. There is plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space, which we like. The pool is hardly ever busy - and even though not heated was lovely to swim in in June/beginning of July. It is situated in a god area - with plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from. We ate out every night. (although the prices have gone up in Spain from the last time we went)! I know Ibiza is an Island, so maybe higher prices anyway. We loved the island, and drove 520 km in 2 weeks, so saw a lot. It is a lovely place. Not just for the "clubbers" !! The only things we did not like was too small bath towels and sometimes the water for the shower was very "light" - not enough pressure. Otherwise - a lovely time. The gardens in which the apartment stand are outstanding. Lovely flowers and paths. We will visit again in the future. I have not given it 5 stars as I thought it is a bit overpriced - without the pool being heated.

We've just returned from Ibiza and cannot fault 'The Pines' in any way. The apartment is beautifully located within a quiet complex and superbly situated for walking or driving easily to many beaches, restaurants, shops and markets. On arrival, we were welcomed by a luscious and fragrant garden area and found the apartment equally as pleasant. Very clean and tidy, spacious and fully equipped for all our holiday needs. The terrace and pool area could easily be home for the duration of your stay. The apartment is so great that we have already booked to go back next year.

"A picturesque and chilled location on the island of Ibiza."

We stayed at The Pines for a week at the begining of July. The apartment is spotless and roomy with more than enough storage. The patio is huge which affords excellent access to the inviting pool. The apartment sits in small, beautiful very well maintained complex in Cala Pada and the full time and vactional residents were really friendly. You can have peaceful days if that is what you want and peaceful nights sleep. Cala Pada has a small clean, well managed beach with some shaded pine tree areas and a couple of bars and restaurants both welcoming, and reasonably priced. Evening meal and nice wine on the beach watching the sun go down made the holiday for us. Cala Pada is five minutes in the car from Es Canar and Santa Euralia both of which were great reasonably busy, Es Canar offering everything for the British Holidaymaker and Santa Euralia is more sophisticated with a really nice harbour and a diverse selection of shops and Spanish/Balaeric tapas restaurants.

"Excellent accommodation and location"

We really enjoyed our week - The Pines is very well equipped, spacious and comfortable and being able to just walk out on to the pool area is great - other apartments in the small complex can't d… More

"Makes you want to go back for more."

Although we had never been to Ibiza previously we thought we had a fair idea of what to expect but we were thouroughly surprised with the beauty of the coastline and beaches just a few minutes walk away from the apartment. Cala Pada itself is a small village with a few shops and restaurants, some right on the beach giving a 'Shirley Valentine' feel to eating out. Absolutely brilliant! The bigger towns of Es Canar and Santa Eulalia are only a 20 min away via a superb coastline walk or 5 min taxi ride. The apartment itself is excellent, everything you need, more like a villa than apartment. From the patio- 5 steps and your in the pool. The complex is quiet, exclusive and immaculate . We even enjoyed eating in twice during our week .We are looking forward to returning in 2012.

"Everything you could ask for - and only a two hour flight away."

My wife and I have just returned from another excellent week at The Pines.
We first stayed there in 2003 when we were accompanied by our two boys. We have returned another six times since, so I suppose you could say we like it there!!
The apartment has everything you could need. It is spotlessly clean and everything works. The beds are ridiculously comfy.
The neighbours are a very friendly and helpful English couple.
The gardens are immaculate and the pool is always clean and attended to and looks fantastic when lit up at night. Sat on the patio with a gin and tonic, the only sound is the burbling of the water jets circulating the pool water.
Why am I saying this? I'm reducing my chances of booking next year!

"Well above average, clean and comfortable."

The Pines is a large apartment, extremely comfortable for two people, set in immaculate gardens. The pool is large and well kept. Cala Pada beach is a 5 minute walk away and we found this an excellent place for starting exploration on foot both north and south along the coast. There is also a ferry stop at the beach for venturing further afield. We found the staff at the near by Club Cala Pada very helpful with regard to ordering taxis and storing luggage. Our favourite place was Cala Mastella, a 14 Euro taxi ride away, deserted and magical at sunrise. Then a long walk back to Cala Pada along the coast.

"Best holiday ever - great apartment, pool, beach and a chilled Ibiza"

We couldn't believe how fantastic the apartment was when we arrived. The really large patio is big enough to eat out every night and for your sun beds to overlook the pool. The children loved the pool and the gardens were like a tropical paradise. The beach at Cala Pada was unspoilt and I would definitely recommend eating at Toni's Restaurant. Once we had eaten there we couldn't go anywhere else, the value, the quality, the view can't be beat. This holiday exceeded our high expectations and I would definitely recommend it - just don't go when we want to go!
