About this location

The Balearic Islands region

Ibiza, the 'White Island', or La Isla Blanca is the most beautiful of all the Balearic Islands. It is a very relaxed place which offers outstanding beaches, dense pine forests and amazing sunsets. It has a perfect climate, hot and sunny summers and warm winters.

Ibiza is very famous for its night life but during the day most people spend their time soaking up the sun on some of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. But when the sun goes down that's when the island comes to life. It has fabulous pre-party bars and world famous nightclubs.

If a more relaxed atmosphere is what you are looking for, then Ibiza can cater for that as well. There are lots of quiet family -run restaurants offering typical food made from locally grown produce. Or watching the sunset from one of the island's great beach bars.

Ibiza caters for all different types of visitor, whether it be the party animal or more relaxed families and couples. It is a unique but fascinating place.

Santa Eulalia del Rio

Santa Eulalia is Ibiza's third largest resort making it a great location for families and couples who are seeking a more relaxed holiday. The only river on the island runs through the area hence its name 'Santa Eulalia del Rio'.

It also boasts a large marina, large promenade which overlooks the beautiful sandy beach right at the centre of the town. It has everything that any visitor could ever need or want - great bars, fabulous restaurants offering all types of cuisine, shops and market stalls and even late night bars.

Santa Eulalia is surrounded by smaller villages which offer traditional merchandise. There are even two 'Hippy Markets each week during the summer months. One in Es Cana on a Wednesday and Las Dalias near San Carlos on a Saturday. There are also many more beautiful beaches and coves to explore. There is even an 18-hole golf course a 5-10min drive away.

Water sports are readily available at most of the local beaches, from water-skiing and jet skiing to para-sailing and wind-surfing.

From the marina there are daily boat excursions to near-by beaches and resorts and the beautiful island of Formentera which is not to be missed.

"Great Pool"

The apartment had just be renovated so all was new, enough glasses, plates etc for about 12 people! Walk in shower was great, comfy beds and aircon that was needed. For winter stays there is underfloor heating. The apartment is on a quite side street with a terrace with table and chairs. The central gardens are lovely and big that lead to a central big pool and pool snack bar with free wifi . The pool seats cost you €2 each a day which is annoying but it also guarantees that you will get a couple easily. The walk into town takes you across a river over a little bridge which takes 10 minutes, then you are at the beach / promenade, walk to the mariner is another 10 to 15 mins. It's flat and there are restaurants and loads to see so distance isn't an issue. There are loads of restaurants some of the best are away from the front, go up the flea market road cross one street and turn right, lots to choose from and a good atmosphere. The Mariner has some nice eateries also but are more expensive but nice looking at all the boats. We had a great holiday and recommend it.
