About the home

The house offers spacious accommodation and is excellently furnished to a contemporary standard. The 1st floor holds 3 bedrooms fully furnished and accommodates 6 people. There are 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a balcony. A cot and highchair can be provided on request. The ground floor has a spacious open plan living area and adjoining dining area. Next to the fully equipped kitchen, we have a pleasant Summer room with wickerwork furniture ideal for relaxation. There is also an utility room and guest WC. Quiet and peaceful, yet only fifteen minutes from the capital, Funchal, the house has easy access to all amenities, including the local market and many excellent restaurants for eating out, not forgetting the beautiful sea front promenade.

Both bathrooms are with a hairdryer and soap. All bedrooms have bedside tables, bedside lamps and spacious wardrobes with a weekly change of the bed linen and towels and cleaning of the house. There is a Summer room decorated with wickerwork furniture: table, sofa and 2 chairs. There is also a desk and chair. For your entertainment, besides Cable TV, DVD player and CD player, plenty of paperback books, some DVDs and CDs, board games, colouring books and pencils for children and puzzles are also provided. We also loan, on request and free of charge, 3 children's car seats: 1 until 12kg and 2 from 12kg to 36kg. The garage is at your disposal.

Outside, there is a beautiful and colourful front garden with a garden bench and at the back, a garden with a table and seating for 6. We also have 2 sunbeds and beach umbrella at your disposal. An ideal place to rest after a long day.

With all long term renters a weekly change of bed linen and towels and cleaning will be provided. Additional nights are subject to availability on request, and change over day is flexible. A 30% deposit must be paid to secure the booking and is non refundable after 5 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is paid in cash on arrival. In addition we charge a refundable deposit of €150 to cover breakables or damage. On your departure day, the deposit will be returned if everything is in order. This is also paid on arrival. Booking Payment can be made in Euros or in Sterling by bank transfer.

The Madeira region

Commonly Known as the pearl of the atlantic, gives true justice to it's name. Although a modern island, Madeira still lives and breaths the heritage of the past.

The Santa Cruz, Madeira area

The charming seafront town of Santa Cruz with its traditional Church built during the “Manuelino” period and Town Hall with its primitive 16th Century construction over looks the court house built in a colonial style, is one of the town’s landmarks. Near the sea front, there is the covered fish, meat and vegetable market, supermarket, restaurants, bars, post office, banks and cash machines, medical centre and promenade. A pleasant walk along the promenade leads to the only Water Park of the island. To the North, we have the well known Santo da Serra Golf course and 15 Minutes to the west, we have Camacha, worldwide known for its wickerwork. The genuine folklore singing, dancing and music can also be seen here. Further inland, one can explore the Levadas or irrigation channels which cover the whole island. Funchal, the cosmopolitan capital of Madeira, is only 15 minutes from Santa Cruz.

Villa Sara is a lovely, comfortable, excellently furnished and fully equipped house set in a peaceful residential area, just 4km from Funchal Airport with many low cost and charter flights to the island. The property is located away from the large hectic touristic centre, in a total natural environment, with a stunning front and back garden. The ideal holiday location for those who admire nature, walkers, sea and golf lovers - 3km from the nearest golf course, swimmers -nearest beach just 3km away and 4 km from the only Water Park of the island and also only 3km from the motorway.

Fly to Madeira's International Airport and then hire a car or get a taxi - Villa Sara is just 7 minutes from the airport.
