The property to rent is the ground floor of an old Portuguese house, in a rural setting, yet only a short walk to the village of Santa Barbara with all amenities. The accommodation consists of a sitting room with an open fireplace and satellite television. The kitchen also has a dining area. There are two double bedrooms en suite. Outside there is a BBQ and dining area.

The central Algarve has the underrated town of Faro as its epicentre. It enjoys a wonderful temperate climate in winter and long, sunny summers with the benefit of a light sea breeze. Faro offers everything including a walled historic centre, cathedral, castle and beaches.

The Santa Barbara de Nexe area

Loule, Sao Bras, Almancil and Faro are all within 20 minutes drive and offer a full range of cultural and sporting activities, shops, restaurants and bars.. During both summer and winter there is a full programme of music, films , theatre and festivals.

There are a number of beaches within striking distance including the beautiful Isla Deserta which is accessed by boat from outside the old city walls of Faro.
