Set down a quiet, wild olive tree lined country lane, the grounds are compiled of extensive lawns (incl. Croquet), landscaped gardens and Sand Volleyball and Petanque (boule) Courts. This house and its amenities are the perfect recipe for the perfect holiday and all this is just a 5 minute drive from Sant Lluis and its local beaches.

The Menorca region
Menorca is the jewel in the Balearic islands crown, very different to its mass package holiday neighbour Mallorca, and Ibiza. Declared a World Biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1993 and thus protected against major developments, it remains spectacularily unspoilt. The shortage of coastal roads has resulted in large areas of untouched coastline, many undeveloped pristine beaches and limestone cut gorges with abundant wild flowers. Perfect walking and mountainbiking country to "get away from it all". With strong ties to the UK through its 18th Century occupation and its many bronze age Talayotic settlements, Menorca has a fascinating and unique history. It is an Island that makes you want to come back for more because it has something for everyone.
Sant Lluis / Torret area
SANT LLUIS is the nearest Village/ Town with a population of over 2000 and just a 20 min walk or 5 min. drive from the house. There are plent of cafes bars and restaurants here together with shops and fresh produce stores. Largely built during the 7 year French occupation 1756 to 63 and named after King Luis 15th it has its own special charm and "ambiente". It is also justly famous for its Fiesta on the last weekend in August based around its "Jaleo" horse riding traditions and spectacular Fair and firework display.
TORRET This very picturesque little hamlet is just 0.5 km 5min walk or 2min drive away. Largely made up of 18th/ 19th Century traditional limestone, whitewashed farm workers cottages creating a charming rural picture. In three of these "casas de Campo" we have the great good fortune to have three of the top ten restaurants on the island. ("Sa Caraba", "Pan y Vino" and "Anakena") all just a short 5 to 8 min walk from the house. Just as fortunate is having "Sa Botiga de S'Uestra" on the western edge of the hamlet just 1 Km away. Believed by many to be the best supermarket in the area (certainly best fruit and veg), it looks more like a farmhouse.
All this is just a short walk north along a peaceful wild olive / drystone wall lined country lane. The opposite direction south in 30 mins walking brings you to the lovely Binibequer beach and Santi's famous waterside bar/restaurant.Car takes 10 mins on the main road.
Within a 10 min drive radius of the house you can go dinghy sailing, yachting, diving, fishing, wind surfing, kayaking ,water skiing and play Tennis and Cricket at the Menoca Cricket Club. (houseguests have automatic hon. temporary membership). 18 hole golf course is 30 min drive away. We are happy to prebook any of the above activities for you .
How to get there
Mahon airport is the only airport on the island and is a 15 minutes drive to the house. Airlines flying to menorca include Monarch and Easyjet.
Mahon harbour where the majority of ferries come in is a 10 mins drive and the main companies are Balearia and Transmediterranea.
Ciudadela harbour (other end of the island) is 45 mins away. A car is essential.

Changeover day is recommended for Friday or Monday but can be flexible. Guests checking in must not arrive at the house before 3pm and guests checking out need to depart the house by 10am. (with possibility of luggage storage if flight not until later).
A third of the booking fee is required at time of booking and the balance 12 weeks in advance.
